A girl of about 5'2 with bright red hair and wearing a black robe with her gold and red tie, walked into the Great Hall. Surprisingly, the redhead wasn't feeling very awake, which was a strange thing for her, since she was normally a morning person.Probably thanks to all that stupid party. She thought to herself. Or something else... Lily Potter had been up all night thinking about Angelo Crest, a boy she'd only formally met last night. She couldn't seem to stop tossing and turning in her sleep thinking about his blue eyes, and the way he'd kissed her hand before bidding her goodnight-even if he did run away. Smiling to herself, she made her way to the Gryfindor table, but not before glancing over at the Ravenclaw table to see Angelo talking to two other girls. Of course, it could be he was just being nice, I mean, he is nice to everyone.Lily sighed, refering to the kiss. Sitting down at the Gryfindor table, Lily realized suddenly that was alone, which was no surprise to her, since everyone had been up drinking and partying, even as she did walk back into the common room. Probably had hangovers. Rolling her eyes at the thought, she shook her head, and then looked around at the food around her. There was pumkin juice, muffins, oatmeal, pancakes and just about every other breakfast you could imagine. Reaching her right hand around the pancakes, she picked up a blueberry muffin, and placed it on her plate, then poured herself some pumpkin juice. Taking a bite of the muffind, she became lost in thought once again-something that'd been happening to her alot latly. Maybe I'll run into Angelo later...

Dominique had skipped down the stairs, a new resolution in her mind, a hand shaking up her hair to mess it up nicely. She'd try her best with Lacey, because she like her enough. The girl was amazingly nice and super cute too. She knew her chances weren't too bad, as Lacey was very open about relationships too, but it was also a matter of catching her attention enough. There were many others the Ravenclaw flirted with, what with free love being the motto, just like hers. Rose's luck with her relationship seemed like a good omen to her, somehow. And she figured Gia would solve everything with James soon too, so she decided the fearsome foursome girls were on a roll. Mia! She needed to talk to the girl.
She'd left rose to finish up getting ready in the dorm and had pranced away, happily dancing a bit as she went down to breakfast back at the only enclosed space that didn't feel too crowded to her. She thought of what she'd like to eat, and silently wondered how many of her housemates would be down already, seeing as it was early and everyone in the house had been involved in the party, whether they wanted to or not. The younger ones wouldn't have been able to sleep with the loud music, and anyone else was pretty much there, so she guessed the table might be empty.
As she entered the Great Hall, she glanced over at the Hufflepuff table, but didn't find her best friend, so she shrugged it off for now, now looking to the Gryffindor table. As she had predicted, it was almost empty. She noticed another vibrant red head sitting alone, and she smiled, speeding up a bit to sit beside the girl. "Hey there, Lily! How's your first morning at Hogwarts?" she asked, a bright smile on her lips as she glanced around the food on the table to find what she wanted.

James and Gia (supposedly) made their way down to the Great Hall, both of them famished and filled with that hangover desire for something to relieve their headaches and overall lousy physical state. The Great Hall was filled already this late in the morning, though the Gryffindor table was notably more empty-- something James grinned at. It was a clear sign that their party had been a success.
He ushered Gia over to the table, smiling and going on about the state of the Quidditch team this year. They were going to do well, especially since nearly all the players on the team were returners this year and had at least a year of experience on the team behind them. "Seriously, Gi. I can tell we're gonna win this year. After all, we're the only team with a full line of returners." he said with a smirk, sitting across from Dom and his sister and greeting the overall group with a "Morning all." James, being the oldest child, sometimes forgot about his little sister-- too busy with his own life to really inquire about hers. "Oi, Lils. Were you at the party last night?" he asked, a concerned frown forming on his face. He didn't like the idea of his little sister partying-- though he himself had been partying at her age-- and being flirted with and taken advantage of by drunken guys. If he was to see that happening, he would obviously be starting of fight with whatever boy that happened to be.
He wasn't sure what to say to Dom-- obviously she would have remembered the events of last night, or at the very least Gia would have told her. He wasn't sure what his cousin thought of the whole situation-- hell, he didn't even know what he really thought of it all-- and if his cousin disapproved of what he had done, he wouldn't have wanted to hear about it.

Gia was still on the topic of Quidditch with James by the time they got down to the Great Hall. She sat next to him, noticing immediately that the Gryffindor table definitely had the least amount of students compared to all the other tables, no doubt because of the party last night. "Yeah, that's true. All of us have at least a couple of years playing for the team and we all work so well with each other. I feel bad for the younger kids who were planning on joining the team this year though..." she said, somewhat sympathetically. It was pretty obvious that there was barely a chance for anyone new, especially younger students, to join the team this year. Gia wouldn't have it any other way, considering how close the team had grown over the years, but she still felt bad. Next year would be so significantly different without James, though Gia had always hoped to take his place as Captain after he graduated.
"Morning guys!" Gia said with a grin, happy as ever. She shot Dom a small smirk and glanced over at James, letting her know that the two had been able to work everything out between them. She was sure it was clear to Dom anyway, since Gia was in a considerably better mood than she had been that morning in their dormitory, and she had come downstairs with James. "Yeah Lily, I didn't see you there. It was pretty wild though; if I were you, I probably would've been so intimidated," Gia said with a smile. She wasn't trying to make Lily feel young or anything; she was just being honest. When Gia was Lily's age, she definitely would've been at least a bit intimidated at a party like that. She liked Lily, though they weren't really that close because of the age difference. She couldn't help but have a few sarcastic thoughts about why she hadn't seen Lily at all the night before...I was too busy getting drunk, being kissed by your older brother, and being rescued from the awkwardness by Dom.... Gia felt like laughing; the whole drama of last night seemed to ridiculous now.

Lily watched as Dom approached the table. Finally. She thought. It was strange to be sitting at the long table alone, and though she liked being able to focus on her thoughts, it was nice to have someone there.
It was alright. She said with a smile. Alright? It was more than alright, but she wasn't going to tell Dom that. "How was yours?" She asked, seeing more Gryfindors-Jame and Gia to be exact-coming to the table. She waved politly as James and Gia greeted eveyone before responing to her brother question.
"Actually, I was at the party last night."She said, looking at Gia and James, trying to hint she knew exactly what had gone down. "But then I went out." She knew she sounded vauge, but she didn't care. Looking to Gia now, she said, "Of course you didn't." before stiffling a laugh.
She had seen exactly what James and Gia had done, but she wasn't going to come right out and say Oh, I was there, saw you snogging my brother. She had seen how Gia had looked after James had done that, but seeing together now, she assumed it was all done and settled. No need to make anything more akward for them, but of course, it was fun to hint around she knew and embarrass her older brother though, instead of him doing that to her. "Did you guys have fun? She asked, smiling now before taking another bite of her blueberry muffin. Chewing her mouthful, Lily tried not to look over at the Ravenclaw table and focus more on everyone at the table, but it was hard. She wasn't really close to anyone at the table, besides her family of course, but she saw James all the time and there was really nothing interesting about him. She didn't really think it in a mean way though, she figured her life was about as intersting to james as a jar of peanut butter too. Picking up her pumpkin juice again, Lily took a sip before setting it back down again with a sigh.

Rose had stayed up after Dom in the common room, applying her "form" of makeup, blush, coverup, mascara, and some eyeliner, just enough to set off her eyes, but not to make an overly big difference in her appearence. Skipping downstairs, she stopped quickly to slide down the rails, wobbling slightly, but luckily enough, she didn't fall. It had happened on occasion, and she really did not want to spend her first day of classes in the Hospital Wing. As she ran into the Great Hall, slightly breathless, her face flushed, she quickly tried to put her hair into its usually slightly messy bun.
Walking over to the Gryffindor table, she took a quick seat next to Dom, jumping over the bench so that her feet were properly planted on the floor. "Hey people, what's going on?" Yawning slightly, she grabbed herself a mug of coffee, sipping it slowly. Her eyes darted nervously to the Hufflepuff table, but she saw neither Aisu or Allen. Her stomach lurched and tumbled, but she tried her best to ignore it, for her own sanity. Allen would come find her, and if he didn't appear, she would go and rescue him from Aisu's more violent side.
It was weird, but she couldn't bring herself to look at James. Instead, she faced Gia, and with a slight wink to Dom, asked, "Hey, when's Quiddich tryouts?" She secretly had the intention of becoming Quiddich Captain once James left, a sentiment that she had never really shared with her two Quiddich-playing best friends. A smile spreading over her face, she tried to relax and focus on the moment. Hopefully, it would all work out somehow in the end.

Dominique smiled widely. "Oh, pretty awesome actually. I'm feeling super confident!" she answered Lily, noticing James and Gia arriving at the table. Concerned crossed her features for only a second as she noticed Gia's smile. Everything was solved then. Then a small smirk her way from Gia assured it. James looked a bit awkward towards her, but this only seemed a bit funny to her. Everyone tended to get that at times, seeing as she was usually the only one to remember everything. She smiled at both of them, her head tilting a bit to the side as they took their seats.
"Good morning, are you guys talking about Quidditch?" she asked, noticing Rose was reaching them. A wink was directed her way, which she answered with a compliment as usual. "Hey there, gorgeous. Looking hot, took your time for the new in-law?" she teased, as she noticed Rose had been glancing over at the Hufflepuff table.
"Oh wow, where did ya go, Lils? I didn't think you'd be leaving the castle at night, you rule-breaker." Dominique said, nudging the younger redhead. She then turned to James, seconding Rose's question. "Yeah, James, when are the try outs? You're gonna pick me, right? Gia-James-Dom makes the best alignment we've had in years, truthfully." she said, hoping to ease up any tension with her cousin.

It was becoming harder and harder to focus on the idle chatter of the Gryffindor table, as Allen had yet to show up in the Great Hall. Her mind wasn't helping, instead, it was showing her only gruesome images of him being chopped into small and perfectly equal cubes and left on the floor of the Hufflepuff Common Room.
This was becoming ridiculous, something needed to be done. But firstly, she had to have breakfast...it was exceedingly important. Buttering a piece of toast, she listened to Dom, cracking up at her comment. "In law? You're the only one I'd attempt to look gorgeous for, darlin'."
She attempted to listen to Lily, too, although that was mainly fueled by guilt, an emotion not supported by her morning mentality, "I'm impressed," she said, "it was hard to get out last night." Her cheeks turned a slightly brighter shade of pink, as she realized that both Lily and James knew nothing of the events that had transpired the night before.
But the conversation quickly floated back to Quiddich, a subject which she loved to talk about, "Definitely the best alignment in all of the houses...and I've heard good things about your Keeper too."
Her attention was wandering, her eyes floating off into space, longing desperately for Allen's face, wishing that her boyfriend would finally appear. And then, in a heartbeat, he was, lingering awkwardly in the entryway to the Great Hall. Mumbling some sort of an excuse to her tablemates, she popped up and walked quickly towards him. He was definitely all in one piece, and he actually looked mostly okay, with the exception of the fact that he looked extremely disheveled.
Walking up to him, she put her arms carefully around him and leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. "Morning!" She enthused cheerily. Stepping back, she looked him over, up and down. "You're not dead. Good Shield Charm?"

She smiled at him, some of the nervousness beginning to seep in. It tore at her, wondering if this was going to work, wondering if they were wasting each other's time. It was almost as if he was disappearing right in front of her, becoming more and more shy, and she'd never really experienced that with any of her past boyfriends. But when they were together, the vast majority of her was telling her to ignore the minority and to listen to how happy he made her. But the contrarian within her had sunk its teeth in deep, and for this relationship to work, it really needed to find someone better to bother.
She winced at his retelling of the story, "I'm glad you're okay," she said in a more serious tone. Aisu had to have let go of most of his anger at this point, which boded well for the best friends, but it still seemed odd that he hadn't appeared at breakfast. Either way, it was unimportant, as long as the violence ended. She hated seeing the two of them "fight", even though Allen hadn't actually fought back, which was pretty manly, come to think of it.
"Hey, so, you should totally crash the Gryffindor table!" She said cheerily, hoping that he liked the idea. It would be awesome to have him around so many of her close friends, and when Emilia decided to show up, it would be the vast majority of them. His nose, she noticed, was an interesting shade of pink, but that was probably something from the fight. Otherwise, he looked as amazing as always, and when he slipped his hand into hers, she felt a little shiver of joy run down her spine. "Thanks, you're looking pretty good yourself, and no, I haven't really eaten much as of yet." Hopefully he didn't mind hanging with the Gryffindors for a bit, but if he did, he was going to have a problem when he realized that she spent the vast majority of her time with them.

Feeling his lips brush her cheeks, she felt a slow smile spread onto her face. It didn't matter how the first day went, from experience, it was always the worst, especially when they were really just getting to know each other. She hoped he was prepared for the awkwardness, but she wasn't really helping by immersing him in the exciting cacophony of noise that composed the Gryffindor breakfast table. This was the one time where her genuine apathy came in handy, protecting herself from the stares of her peers, but he didn't have that talent. Unfortunately, she couldn't help him much there, but maybe he would learn it in time. Thanks to her little "reputation cloud" of sorts, the two of them really weren't going to be anonymous. At all.
Was taking him over to the Gryffindors even a good idea? Her mind was telling her yes, as was her heart, but it seemed like he might not be ready. However, crashing the Hufflepuff table was not an option for either of them, and her friends would hopefully not give Allen too hard of a time. The only one she was worried about was James, who had a slight habit of...interfering with these things. Maybe he and Gia would be caught up in talking, or at least, that was what she hoped. Holding onto his hand, she gave it a quick squeeze as she started to lead them towards the table.
"It's going to be okay," she promised, realizing as soon as she said that how lame it was. It was only going to be okay if he thought it was going to be, or at least did a good job of pretending to be comfortable with the situation. Allen was going to be the outsider...and that was a situation that even Rose would never choose to endure. She hoped that he wasn't too afraid of the result.
As they got to the table, she released his hand and sat down, patting the empty seat next to him. "Sit!" She enthused, trying to remain calm, although even she could hear the nervous tint to her tone. "Anyway, what'd I miss?" She said to her fellow Gryffindors, hoping to find out how the conversation had gone without her.

Okay, maybe this wasn't the best idea, he thought as they started moving. He'd be an outsider for sure, and he wasn't really comfortable on such situations. He kind of wished for the sweet confidence that alcohol supplied him with. He could already feel eyes prying, checking out what exactly was going on, as they both had reputations, though the tall boy kind of hated himself for the one he held. Whisper would be in plenty the moment he sat with the Gryffindor crowd, particularly her friends.
Allen was about to try to speak about the situation with Rose, maybe suggest sneaking to the kitchens and out to the grounds, when we realized they were already there, she had already sat down and was beckoning for him to take the seat next to hers. His hands were fiddling already, pulling at the scabs near his fingernails. The small satisfaction that came with it was enough to calm him down some as he sat down next to his girlfriend, in a table full of people he'd never talked to while sober. He kept on pulling, and scratching at the wounds, a habit he had no real control over anymore. Allen didn't even notice when he was doing it until he felt the sharp pain that meant he'd drawn blood. He remained silent for now, a half smile remaining on his lips to appear comfortable enough. He'd try his best.

Dominique had been about to comment on Rose's statement when the girl had left the table, completely forgetting about them for a few minutes. She chuckled as she noticed the entrance of Allen too, and rolled her eyes, though it was very cute. James and Gia seemed way too enthralled in one another to pay much attention to anyone else. She sighed a bit as she took a glance at the Ravenclaw table, noticing her new target talking to a few people.
Her eyes returned to the table the moment Rose sat back down, and she smiled widely again. "Well, James and Gia've been snogging the soul out of each other through their eyes, which is quite a feat, I guess. That's why they're both silent, you see." she said, laughing again. Dominique smiled at Allen, hopefully making him feel welcome. "Hey mister zillion-foot-high!" she added, before she turned back to Rose. "So, aren't you gonna catch the ones who aren't in our dorm to what's going on?"

Lily suddenly became very unconfortable at Dom's question about her wereabouts. "Oh, you know, I was just...out." She said, twriling the ends of her hair with her fingers. Idiot.[/color
Luckily for Lily, the convorsation had changed to Quittage. "I was thinking about trying out for beater..." She told them, knowing they probably thought she was just setting herself up for failuer. And maybe she was, but she wasn't actually all that bad at it either. She would practice in the back yard at her home in the summer all the time.
Putting her elbow i the table she watched as Allen Blackwell came over with Rose, who she hadn't noticed had left or even had been here at all, which was strange since one of Lily's favorite people wad Rose.
Smiling politely, Lily took her elbow off the table and place her hand on her lap. She could tell he seemed a litle akward, which was totally understandable. None of the other people in the houses came over and sat at different tables very often if at all. Heck, she knew she'd feel akward going over and sitting with Angelo, no matter how much her heart begged her to go over there.
Sighing again, something she did very often, Lily folded her arms around herself and tried to listen in on the convorsations at the Gryfindor table, but none of them really sparked her interest. Can't believe I'm thinking this, but I can't wait for class to start.

Post by Ashley Wolfy on Oct 31, 2010 1:18:08 GMT -5
This year had been the first year that no one could see her off for her fourth year to Hogwarts. Her grandparents were getting older in life, and they had spent all yesterday, spending time with each other, seeing as they weren't going to be seeing her off today. Ashley hadn't minded going to Kings Cross Station by her lonesome. However it was that day, that very morning, as she was getting ready to leave, that her blood ran cold, as the news suddenly switched on, making the muggle girl pause in getting ready, the news woman blabbered on about something or other, when she saw her parents on the news, they had been released on parole, and they apologized to her in front of millions of people, but no Ashley knew what those words really meant. They weren't sorry at all, they were going to come for her, and finish the job they started, the mute girl could feel it in her bones. That's what made Ashley stiffen up, switching the TV off, before she grabbed her stuff, bid her grandparents one final goodbye, before she disappeared heading toward Kings Cross Station, by herself.
Once she had gotten to the station, she disappeared into the brick wall, and waited tensely and impatiently for the train. Once the train pulled into the station was Ashley one of the first people on the train, disappearing into the very back of the train, into the very last compartment, and hiding there, she had locked it from the inside, so no one but she was in there or could get in. She needed time to get her head together. Or else she would be a wreck once she got to Hogwarts, and that wasn't acceptable. Ashley's train ride to Hogwarts, hadn't been so bad... and she had relaxed only slightly once the train had started moving. She had the compartment all to herself, she had been completely still and stiff, refusing to move from her spot. She had never dropped her guard, and it wasn't likely that her guard was going to drop any time soon. Not with her parents finally being out of prison... out of jail, in only five years of her new found freedom. Everything was going to crumble around her, she just knew it, and that's what she was bracing herself for, for her new-found world to shatter, so that she could struggle to pick up all the small sharp pieces without getting her fingers cut in the process, and that in itself is a hard task to accomplish.
Ashley hadn't gotten a wink of sleep, and the blackish purple bags under her pretty icy-guarded, but often mistaken for chill blue eyes were proof enough, that she hadn't any sleep last night, and it wasn't just because of the party and the loud music either. The mute Gryffindor blinked those pale jade green orbs once before she moved to go take a shower, and get dressed so that she could leave and head to the Great Hall for breakfast. Once she had set foot out of the Gryffindor common room, her eyes were cold as usual. The mute fourth year walked down the changing and moving staircases to get down to the Great Hall. So that she could go meet up with Lily.
The girl's hair fell down her to her waist in waves, that swayed with each step the girl took. Her bangs framed her face, curling just so that they touched her chin. The girl was wearing her Gryffindor robes, her wand in the sleeve of her robes. She walked through the halls, her eyes having their normal icy-guarded look to them. No one dared approach her, because of her icy-cold-hearted demeanor they left her alone. Much to her joy.
Once Ashley had reached the Great Hall, she walked over to the Gryffindor table, ignoring the chatter and the two males who were present, James Potter. Lily's older brother, whom she still wasn't very relaxed around, in fact James and other male really, made her very uneasy, because he was much older than her, and that was enough to put her edge around him. Her eyes were quick to spy another older male, one she didn't quite recognize sitting next to Rose. Then again she never paid attention to guys, although not knowing this male, made her even more uneasy than how she was normally around James. Although she could tell the male was a Hufflepuff, so maybe he wasn't too bad, but right now, she didn't trust him as far she could throw him, and the same thing went for James as well, despite him being Lily's older brother, along with Albus(She wan't quite sure what to make of Albus either.). She blinked her eyes twice, before taking in those around the Gryffindor table, searching for the red-head, she secretly loved. She spied not only James, but Gia, Dom, Rose, the boy she didn't know(Allen), and finally Lily. Once she spied Lily. She was quick to make a beeline for the seat by Lily that wasn't taken. Once there, she took a seat next to Lily, a small kind smile gracing her lips, as she playfully poked Lily in the cheek once, before drawing her finger back, she wasn't trying very hard to get the other girl's attention, as one poke in the cheek was usually enough to get the red-heads attention.

Lily sat like that for a while before she got a poke in her cheek that made her jump a little bit. Looking to the seat next to her she saw Ashley and smiled widely, "Where have you been? I haven't seen you since I've gotten here!" She squealed before huggin her friend tightly and then letting her arms fall.
Living in the wizarding world, Lily didn't really pay much attention to the nuggle one, but she could tell something was a little off with Ashley this morning by just looking into her eyes, but could tell her friend probably didn't want to talk about it at the moment. I guess I'll ask her later. She thought. It was funny how close Lily and Ashley were and how Lily could understand just what her friend wanted to say, even though she was mute, but it really helped Lily to be able to read other people as well. Like who thought they were smart, who didn't, people who liked her, people who didn't. On occasion though, she couldn't read someone at all. Like Angelo... She would definetly be telling Ahsley about that soon, but not now with so many ears around. "So what is everyones first class for the day?Lily asked, addressing the whole table now, but didn't look at them, still watching Ashley for her answer. Lily didn't actually care about what everyone else had for class, but she felt the need to keep convorsation going to Allens sake, since hings were getting akward, not the she owed him anything however. A small smile appeared on Lily's lips, as if telling Ashley that this was very akward, not that she couldn't have just said that, but it would have been kind of rude. Lily liked akward moment though, it always made things more interesting and it was funny to watch what different people did in akward situations. Once when she waa tweleve, her dad, Harry Potter, had started to try and tell her about "the birds and the bees" after he'd found out from her anoying brothers that she had a crush on a boy at school. Her dad had stuttered a lot and avoided eye contact until Lily told him her mother had had this talk with her two years ago. Coming back to the present now, Lily realized she was now just staring at Ashley, which was a nice thing to do either, but Lily had given up on always trying to be nice, because people found her to be very boring. However, no one had yet pissed her off enough for her to do something dramatic to them and get a detention or anything. Her friend Ashley on the other hand? She was a nice girl, but she'd get detention everyday if she could manage, just so she could go into the Forbiddin Forest. Lily didn't really understand her friends factionation with the place, but Lily wasn't one to judge, besides she'd never been in there before. Lily had contimplated getting in trouble with her friend a few times though to see what it was like. Pulling her hair up as if she were going to put it in a pony tail, she let it slowly slip through her fingers and hit her back softly. She was still tired from last nights adventure, and bagan to think about slipping out tonight again.

James had been preoccupied stuffing his face with bacon and various other breakfast foods-- hence his late responses for the most part. He was focused more on the food this morning, especially after a night of heavy drinking he had suffered through. He was a big eater for the most part, but today was a particularly heavy gorging.
James attempted to speak, but realized he was still chewing. Swallowing quickly, and giving a quick cough, and responded with, "Yeah we're going to do an awesome job this year. The only problem is that Castor might not want to play this year, especially after those bludgers he took to the head last year." He said, referring to one of the beaters on the team last year.
When Lily mentioned she was interested in being a beater, James smirked. He liked the idea of his little sister playing Quidditch, but she didn't seem like much of a beater. "Well we're going to have to have some try outs for the spot, Lils, but you'll get the sibling advantage I'm sure." he said with a laugh.
He was slightly confused as Allen came to the table, and pecked Rose on the cheek. It was obvious he wasn't drunk, and that was probably the only time he had seen Allen act affectionately to Rose when not in a drunken stupor. James slipped closer to Gia, whispering in her ear. "Did I miss something...?"
He also noticed his little sister staring at the Ravenclaw table, and wondered exactly what she had done last night. She was letting on that she had seen what had happened between he and Gia, and frowned slightly, scanning across the Ravenclaw table as well. Not too many were looking this way, and those who were he couldn't imagine his sister 'liking'. But then again, he couldn't really think of his sister in any sort of romantic situation.

Gia raised an eyebrow at Lily, a little bit confused. It was pretty obvious that Lily had seen what had happened between James and herself, but Gia didn't know what to think of it. She'd implied that 'of course' Gia hadn't seen Lily at the party, because she must have been too busy kissing James, and that was not what happened. Did the entire attendance of the party, with the exception of Rose and Dominique (who knew the whole story) think that James and Gia had actually kissed for real? Not that it wasn't real, but it also wasn't something that just happened mutually between them. "Uh, yeah, we had fun for the most part," Gia said in response to Lily's question. She knew she was over thinking this but she couldn't help it.
Having been so lost in her thoughts and not paying attention, Gia hadn't noticed Allen and Rose were sitting together here until just then. "Oh, hey Allen," Gia said with a smile. He looked like he was really uncomfortable, but Gia knew that Rose would take care of him. Dominique's comment about her and James got Gia's attention. She grinned at her and rolled her eyes."Oh shut up Dom, we're just having a conversation," she said, though it did make her slightly more uncomfortable that everyone seemed to be commenting on her and James this morning. She didn't want this to be made into a huge deal.
Gia looked over at James, confused for only a moment as to why he didn't know about Rose and Allen. Of course he wouldn't have found out yet, since he had gone to bed long before Allen and Rose had returned to the common room, and obviously hadn't seen either of them yet today until now. "Uhhh, yeah. They're together! It happened last night. Aren't they so cute?" Gia whispered enthusiastically. She knew that her comments would probably embarrass the hell out of Allen, so she kept their little conversation quiet.

Ashley just smiled as she had managed to grab Lily's attention, just what she had wanted. She smiled when her friend squealed out a question and then hugged her, that was something only Lily would do. After her hugging her friend back. She took out her wand and looked at the other, already having the spell on her thoughts. "Scribe." She thought. At her wordless spell, her wand tip had already began glowing an eerie blackish purple, and she wrote out the words she wanted to say. "Where was I? Hmm I was stuck in a compartment by myself. I figured you'd be spending time with your brothers and cousins, so I didn't want to interrupt. And once I got here, I left after hearing someone was planning a party. I figured I wouldn't get a wink of sleep, so I left and I hid out on the grounds till the party was all over, and then I snuck back into the common room, when everyone was asleep." She wrote in the air, allowing the now glowing purple words to hang there in the air before they'd disappear in harmless black smoke once a few minutes passed, but it was enough time for the reader to read what she had written. She didn't really care who saw what she written down, it's not like she was trying to keep the conversation she was having with Lily private.
The mute rolled her eyes as she had been completely ignored by everyone at the table but Lily. Not even so much as simple "Hello." or not even being acknowledged at all. Not that she wasn't use to such responses and getting ignored and overlooked almost daily. She looked at her friend and raised an eyebrow, a bemused look spread across her face, as if she was silently asking. "Did I just become invisible?". Ashley gave Lily a small smirk, as she glanced at Allen and gestured sharply with her head, over to him. "Who's he?" She questioned writing down the question on air again, leaving it to be answered by anyone who was paying attention to her, and right now that only person was Lily.
The black haired girl raised an eyebrow at the response of James saying something about Lily being the beater for Quidditch and the tryouts and response, that he had gave. It sounded like her that he was playing favoritism with Lily, mainly because most the Gryffindor team were related, and that was somewhat annoying to her. Ashley snapped her fingers, hoping to grab James's attention, well if that wouldn't get his attention, then what she was going to next, sure would. A smirk sliding onto her lips. As she pointed her wand over at him, writing out the words she wanted to say. "Favoritism? Now Potter that's not nice, what about the others who wish to try and get a spot on the team? I want to try out too, you know." As the words came out of the glowing wand, they floated over to James and sat there, they'd remain there for a few minutes before disappearing into black smoke. Yes Ashley never referred to James by his name, same with Albus, it was probably because she didn't trust them, at least she didn't have to deal with both of them at the same time, that'd be annoying not only for her, but for them as well. Ashley set her wand on the table and reached over to grab two pieces of toast, the butter and the strawberry and grape jelly, and worked on spreading the butter and jelly on her food, while she waited for the great comeback of James Sirius Potter.

There were too many people, too many questioning eyes looking at her and Allen. For once, it was making /her/ feel exceedingly awkward, which was out of character. The only way to get around this, she realized, was to overcompensate with the enthusiasm of an actress receiving an award. But before she bothered to explain the two of them to the out of the loop members of the table, she took Allen's hand, hoping that he would immerse himself somehow into the conversation. "Castor said he was playing, I asked him last night. Hey, wait, do I still have to, y'know, try out?" She groaned slightly at the thought, as she was still recovering from the heckling of the Slytherins from last year.
The real conversation of the Gryffindor table seemed to be non-verbal, though, between Gia and James' whispering and the nonverbal chatter between Lily and Ashley...wait, when had Ashley arrived at the table? Her stomach took a guilty churn, but she plunged onwards anyway, "Hey Ash! How's it going?" The two weren't close, but she was close with Lily, and it seemed like with the fourth years it was a "be sisters with one, get another sister free" kind of deal. That wasn't much of a deterrent, quite honestly, it seemed cool to be a role model to them...although being role model material didn't seem to mesh well with her drunken escapades. Winking at Dom for her usual astute comments, she realized that there was really only one thing left to do--and whatever happened, she was protecting Gia & James from more awkwardness.
Giving Allen a small smile, she squeezed his hand before announcing to her table, "Hey. You. People who are whispering." She leaned over to poke James before continuing her statement, "This is Allen. Allen and I are dating. Um, yeah, the end, go back to stuffing your face." She assumed that most of the younger Gryffindors didn't know Allen, hence the introduction, but it seemed slightly surreal anyway. How many guys had she awkwardly dragged over to the Gryffindor table? Had she even liked any of them enough to do that?
