"Whoa," she commented with a bemused smile, "I actually remember that entire conversation...impressive, much?" So he had expected her to be his shield...that was never a good sign. It was clear that he was trying to put a joking spin on it, and while she appreciated his efforts, she found it extremely non-amusing. Taking a quiet but deep breath, she attempted to calm herself down, reminding herself that every relationship had its kinks, that they would work out in the end. Her reputation with boyfriends truly preceded her, but she wanted things with Allen to work, and if they were to work, things needed to be changed.
"Dirt's my middle name, love." She teased, referring to their gossip-infected pasts. He clearly loved the subject, which made her happy. It was cool to see something that he was clearly so passionate about, and she wished she had some exciting idea to tell him about. Tucking a tendril of hair behind her ear, she bit her lip slightly, "Erm, Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbology, Muggle Studies, some...other ones. I never remember." It was truly a random assortment of classes, but they all happened to be her favorites, especially Transfiguration, which she thought might turn into a career one day, if she didn't try going into Quiddich, which was her dream.
Standing up slowly, she grinned, happy that breakfast was over. Allen was definitely a trooper to deal with the horrors of this breakfast so smoothly...maybe she would brave the Hufflepuff table next, as a favor. Leaning up to kiss him on the cheek, she responded, "Yeah, I'm on my way to Transfiguration though." She didn't want to dwell on the topic, although she was happy that the two shared some classes.

He passed a few familiar faces as he made his way to the Gryffindor table, cracking a grin as he saw his older brother fall over with his shoelaces tied together. The Fourth Year girl who cast the hex, Ashley, Lily’s friend, escaped the room on quick feet with laughter dancing all over her face, and Albus had to chuckle himself as he watched James gave chase with Ben at his heels. Nearing the table he heard snippets of conversation, but when he finally joined the Lions and slid into a vacant seat, Albus was quick to note – with a raised eyebrow at that – Allen Blackwell was also there, and now no longer the only boy.
Of course, the other eyebrow joined its fellow when Rose pecked the Hufflepuff on the cheek, and then the Potter boy heard the rest of the conversation.
“Is this a development from last night, Cousin Rose, or have you been hiding this from me for some time?” Green eyes were alight with a teasing fire, knowing full well that it was quite a new official relationship. Honestly, how did these two dance around each other and never notice after all these years? He blinked as the boy got up; they all seemed prepared to leave for classes. That was disappointing, since he had just joined them. He didn't bother properly greeting the other male.
“Good morning Ms Parker, Lily, Dominique, Roxanne.” Albus gave a nod and a smile to each of the ladies, before turning back to evidently the more interesting interaction of Rose and Allen. They were an intriguing couple, considering their dating histories, and the Sixth Year wondered how long the relationship would last. For Rose’s sake, he hoped that it wouldn’t end, and if it did, it was on good terms and with no regrets. Good grief, he sounded like a sap! But nonetheless, Rose didn’t deserve to be hurt from this, even with her own lasting crush on the Hufflepuff boy.
He glanced away from them and down at the schedule that he still held in his hand. Lips turned downward into a contemplative frown as he read the parchment over again, and then he opened his mouth to comment. “Do any of you have a class called AARD? I’m afraid I wasn’t made aware that Professor Trelawney or any of the other professors had retired.” And dad hadn’t said anything, he added in his mind, but he knew better than to mention that aloud.
(OOC: This is more sucky than the last. Nnrrraghh.)

It was probably rude of her not to tell Albus immediately, she realized, feeling a slight twinge of guilt, but as he walked over to her table and began to speak, the only thing that she felt was a great sense of relief. It was always good to see one of her favorite people in the entire universe, but Albus especially had a kind and calming influence on her, making her relax without even noticing consciously. His raised eyebrows made her chuckle--he knew all of this, of course, she'd told him frequently of her feelings, but he knew how much she loved getting a reaction and was humoring her for the fun of it. Allen probably wasn't going to enjoy it as much as she was, but he would be okay--after all, he would have to learn to love her crazy family in time, especially considering that they probably made up the majority of the school's population.
Laughing, she turned to him, gleefully commenting, "Silly Albus! We've been married for years--did you miss the wedding?" She ended the comment with a wink, he knew that they had become a couple last night, he knew everything, so their playful banter was just a formality, something that was a tradition that would continue between the duo for what felt like forever. She was going to be late for class, she realized nervously, but it didn't matter, after all, it was only Transfiguration.
"AARD?" She groaned, "Sounds awful, but no, I have Transfiguration now...maybe Trelawney finally lost it. It seemed like it was bound to happen soon." She loved that Albus was with them--although she respected the fact that he was a Slytherin, sometimes she wished that he was a Gryffindor so that the pair could spend more time together, although they still managed to be incredibly close. Her mind beginning to wander, she looked up at Allen, debating if there was a point in introducing him. Surely they knew each other, and if they didn't, they would learn quickly.

(OOC: I can’t believe I forgot that Dom left...Sorry, Nyx! And everyone else who was waiting for me to post. And, fast paced post, really messy. Subject to editing later.)
He began to laugh with her, and calmed down enough to get out his answer. “How come you forgot to invite me? Actually, never mind inviting me, I thought I was supposed to be the best man or something! Ring bearer at least! Rose, I’m your favourite cousin!” Their teasing was absolutely delightful after all the fuzziness that he had gone through last night and earlier this morning. It cleared his mind – he had something solid to focus on.
Albus blinked his grandmother’s verdant green eyes; his cousin was glancing at her new boyfriend. He caught the hidden message, if it was one, almost immediately. “It’s okay, Rose, I know Mr. Blackwell. But I am curious: did you guys really get together just last night? If you did, I would suppose after Mr. Oki had left the Lions’ Den. I hope you were completely sober when you asked Rosie here out, Mr. Blackwell.” Albus turned to the other boy, not bothering to hide the harshness of his words. He did mean them as a joke, but in truth they were really him trying to protect his cousin, who was beyond close to him. He couldn’t even imagine not being protective over Rose like he was with his little sister. “I don’t mean you any harm, Mr. Blackwell, but you do know that there would be a huge line-up of Weasleys and Potters if you were to hurt her.”
“You have Transfiguration now?” The dark-haired boy looked at Rose, though still mildly surprised at her aversion against the Divination Studies. If his memory stayed true, she appeared to share the same opinion as her mother when encountering the name of Trelawney, or so his own mother and father had shared. But Aunt ‘Mione had loved Arithmancy and Ancient Runes, so perhaps Rose simply did not know what AARD stood for at a glance. However, Albus’ final conclusion was that Rose did not know of the new combined course beforehand like himself.
He took out his wand and waved it weakly in remembrance, and did not bother to hide his wide eyes at the time that was displayed, hovering between their faces in midair. First period was coming up deliriously fast, and he gave the others and apologetic look. “I don’t know about you guys, but I need to get to my first class. The walk – run really – is going to take awhile. The new professor’s class is still in the old Divinations room.” He looked around at them, before returning to Rose and Allen. “I’ll see you all later, then.” He picked up his schoolbag, with his schedule rolled up in his hand again, and left the Great Hall, heading upstairs.

She smiled pleasantly while he laughed, waiting for him to stop. "Well," she said, "the shotgun wedding might have done it. When we renew our vows on the moon, I'll be sure to let you know." It was good that Albus was relaxed about it, at least he seemed to be in a good mood, which would probably help her case in the long run. She assumed that he wouldn't mention this in any letters home, but if he did, she would definitely be getting a trillion Howlers from her displeased parents. Luckily, she and Albus were closer then close, practically siblings instead of cousins.
However, she inhaled deeply at his next set of comments, slightly shocked. Yes, the duo was generally over-protective of each other, but Allen, unlike the others wasn't the teasing type. Unless, of course, he was, as it was very likely that she had guessed incorrectly and he wouldn't mind. "We did, Al, and yeah, it was after Aisu left." she said, and although her tone was sunny as always, there was a strength in it, a sharp edge that almost never appeared. It was her way of trying to be firm, although it mostly was ignored by listeners, who misinterpreted it or didn't notice it in the first place. She let a smile return easily to her face, "I think the family's gotten use to being on call to hurt my boyfriends at this point...luckily Mum and Dad are far away."
"Um, yeah," she fumbled for her crumpled schedule, holding it up for evidence. She truly had no interest in taking Divination--but what was this AARD course? Maybe it had some redeeming qualities, or it was code for some kind of secret mission or class, something exciting and out of the ordinary, which would certainly be welcomed.
Catching his apologetic look, she nodded, blowing him a kiss, "Good luck getting there---we'll talk later?" She spoke to his receding figure, unsure how she felt about him leaving. Smiling at Allen, she realized that the pair would be late for class, which was something she couldn't really handle. "I've got to run, love, Transfiguration is calling my name!" With a quick kiss, she sped off, hoping to get her emotions out of an excited state by the time that she reached the classroom.

Allen had been standing quite awkwardly as Rose's cousin, Albus, appeared. He knew the boy a bit, they had classes together, and... anyone who didn't know the Weasley's and the Potters by now was most likely a rock. He remained silent, not sure if he should be talking, but nodding his way in greeting. Rose's joke about their relationship made him smile ever so slightly, but the Slytherin boy seemed really protective, no matter what.
When a question was directly adressed at him, he kind of freaked out internally. Would the truthful answer earn him another trip to the hospital wing? He frowned a bit, his shoulders drawing up in answer. "Right," he said, hoping Rose wouldn't set every member of her family after him if anything ever happened. He didn't know what else to say, so he figured his half-smile would do, as they were smiling themselves. Allen really needed to get used to this kind of thing, now that they were together.
Albus talked about AARD and Transfig, but the Slytherin quickly showed them how late they were for class. Well, Albus and Rose, anyway, because he had a free period now that he wasn't taking transfiguration. The other boy had sped off before Allen managed to say anything else. He turned to Rose and smiled a bit more as she kissed him goodbye. "See you later, Rosie." he said, his smile even wider at the endearment she used.
His eyes followed her out the Great Hall, and he started walking out too. He looked towards one of the corridors to see her retreating form at the end of it, reaching the stairs. He chuckled and walked his way back to the Hufflepuff Common Room and into his dormitory, which would be empty, letting him practice guitar alone, maybe write something about last night.
