A young brown haired girl walked distractedly through the corridors of the school, with a peaceful look on her face as she remembered the previous night while her mind rushed through other thoughts, like the sweet smell of breakfast not too far away, the chilly air of the morning and the spiderweb getting bigger each time she passed by that particular bar on the railing of the stairway leading down to the Great Hall. Layla's ride back to Hogwarts had been uneventful, mostly passed between fellow Ravenclaws in the compartment. She had bought anything she could from the trolley, making some of her companions laugh, but she had hoped only because of her enthusiasm. That was an interesting new dent on that armor... The sorting had been uneventful too, letting her mind drift onto things like the outfit of the headmaster, the wild mane of red hair that belonged to one of her friends at the Hufflepuff table, among lots of other things.
She now remembered hearing from an older housemate that there would be a party at the Gryffindor Common Room that night. She figured her gossip-queen friend had been there, and Layla would get the full scoop of whatever Briony had gathered on whatever class they first got together. She chuckled as she reached the Great Hall, entering and sitting down at her favorite spot on the almost empty Ravenclaw table. "Yay! Back to the super sweet and plentiful breakfasts of Hogwarts!" she said in an excited voice to no one in particular. Her face showed a very bright smile as she sat down at the table, waiting for the first dishes to appear.

Lacey Jones had never been much of a breakfast person.
Lunch was nice, and often her first meal of the day if she overslept breakfast and was a tad late to class, as she often was. And dinner was always wonderful, especially here at Hogwarts, where she could practically have anything she damn well wanted.
Lacey, who had been surprisingly absent from the first real party of the year-- the Welcome Back party in the Gryffindor common room-- had awoken well-rested, and shockingly early by her standards. While some of her house shifted and moaned in their sleep, having rather terrible hangovers to look forward to when they woke up, Lacey had woken up peacefully. She got dressed quietly, and drifted almost dreamily out of her dormitory.
Walking the long walk from the Ravenclaw Tower and the Great Hall woke her a bit, and by the time she reached the Ravenclaw table to grab a seat opposite Layla, she was quite awake.
"Morning girly." she greeted with a smile, settling herself before glancing around to see as to what she wanted. Endearments and nicknames had always been sort of her things, since often she had time remember others names. Not that she didn't know Layla's name-- hell they'd been in the same house for the past five years-- but the endearments had become a force of habit, one she didn't plan on breaking.
Eying some waffles, she reached across a fellow Ravenclaw boy to grab them, smiling sweetly and apologizing for her reach. After carefully ladling on some whipped cream and syrup, she dug in, taking a few bites before looking back at Layla.
"So you didn't happen to end up at that Gryffindor party last night by any chance, did you?" she asked, turning around to glance at the Gryffindor table, which was obviously empty this early. Gryffindor parties were notoriously rowdy-- something she personally loved. "I was hoping to hear some gossip for myself."

It really wasn't unusual for Angelo to just 'disappear' after the train ride and after arriving at Hogwarts. He had done it several times before, since his sister's death, it had become a very bad habit, for him to go up to his dorm room, unpack, and then 'disappear' for the rest of the day(And wouldn't 'appear' for dinner), to his somewhat secret spot, where he'd just lay down on the grass and watch the clouds go by, or hold up one of his fingers and allow small birds to flock to him, that or butterflies or other insects. He had stayed out there all day, allowing birds to perch on his form. He even watched as they flew off flying into the sky that they ruled. Angelo had stayed out there the entire day, until sunset, which he watched from his spot on the ground, until the moon rose into the sky, did he leave his spot and go to the lake to skip rocks, with only the moonlight for company and light.
It also wasn't unusual for Angelo to get up super early and sit out on the window sill with the window open, to watch the sunrise. Despite the moans and groans from his dormmates who had hangovers from the party, the night before. Not that Angelo would know, as he nor his alters had been invited. Not that he really cared because if he had been invited to the party, he wouldn't have gotten to end the night as sweetly as he did last night, with a certain red-haired bright hazel-eyed 4th year by the name of Lily Potter.
The brown haired youth had left his fifth year dorm mates to wallow in their own self pity for drinking. He had much more important things to do, like going to Great Hall and getting some breakfast. He was already dressed in his ravenclaw robes, with his silver locket was around his neck, only hidden by his robes. The fifth year was wide awake, as he had been for several hours now. So the walk from the Ravenclaw Tower and the Great Hall hadn't taken too long, but it was still fairly enjoyable for him.
As he neared the Ravenclaw Table, he spotted Lacey and Layla. He couldn't help shifting his gaze to the Gryffindor table, and kept his smile in place, when he saw no one there. That meant no seeing Lily, which made him slightly worried that maybe he had taken his actions last night a bit too far? It was a possibility after all. And it all the more made him feel guilty about letting himself get so carried away in his emotions and doing what he had done.
He took a seat next to Lacey, as it was the only one currently available. His smile still in place. He hoped Lacey didn't mind him sitting next to her. "Good morning, ladies." He said as he gave both of them a kind smile, being a gentlemen wasn't anything new, as he was always nice and gave those kinds of morning greetings to those whom he was friends with, and than again they were in his house, so of course he'd be nice to them, and it was usual behavior for Angelo to be nice and kind to well... everyone.

Whose brilliant idea was it to make him a Ravenclaw, anyway? It seemed like the whole house was composed of mostly nerdy girls, and all of the guys faded awkwardly into the background. Come to think of it, he'd barely spoken to Quin since arriving at school, as Quin had left him immediately for his Slytherin friends, and he had escaped to the Gryffindor party, for a fun night of drunken kissing and chatting.
Although the hangover was slowly taking the fun out of this morning, especially due to the bright lights inside the Great Hall. Had it always been this...obnoxiously bright? And loud? He felt like he forgot Hogwarts every time he left, but he'd luckily been able to return and remember, except that this was for the last time.
There really shouldn't be any classes on the first day, he thought to himself, but he had literally fallen out of bed, only slightly later than usual, and the idea of painkillers and pumpkin juice was what had lured him from his common room into reality. It wasn't even that he disliked waking up, he mostly disliked that he couldn't ditch his table in favor of another one, preferably the Gryffindor one, but even the Slytherins too...he'd yet to greet Diana and the others, which was unsettling.
Stumbling into the Great Hall, he had taken a seat next to the few Ravenclaws that he recognized, including Lacey, whom he knew well from the many parties that the pair tended to attend. "Morning, all." He inclined his head towards the others, fifth years, he believed. "Wild party last night Lacey, we missed you there."

A slim figure gracefully strolled down the multiple hallways that led to the Great Hall. Her chestnut hair swung playfully from side to side as she walked, but her face was anything but playful. A faraway look was plastered across her face, it was clear that she wasn't paying any attention whatsoever to where she was going. Her feet, however, seemed to have a plan and stepped confidently in the correct direction.
It was unclear what exactly Violet Pierce was thinking about, but she seemed to be quite at peace with it. Almost happy, the emotion showing more through her eyes than her mouth. Her mouth didn't smile often, and when it did it was generally in sarcasm. Her light amber eyes never seemed to be amused by sarcasm, they were always far off, never focusing at whomever Violet may be insulting. It was a bad habit, she never looked at people when she talked to them, stares and glares simply made her uncomfortable even if it was her initiating it.
As the light patter of her feet reached the Great Hall, the volume of the morning chatter hit her like a wall of bricks. She looked up, gazing around the Hall with a cross look on her face. Her summer was quiet, the way she liked it. Violet winced slightly as she permeated the field of noise, the different voices hitting her like shards of shrapnel. This would be her first real social interaction for a long time, the ones with her siblings excluded.
As she neared the table where her House mates were located she spied a bowl of nice looking apples that seemed acceptable. Unfortunately, it was placed over by some Ravenclaws that she didn't approve of. The first she saw was Jay Chambers. He was in her grade, and his promiscuity and love for partying was well known. The promiscuity wouldn't bother her if it wasn't brought on by intoxication most of the time. Then there was Layla Turner, Violet's dislike for this girl was fairly well known. Layla was unintelligent, that's all there is too it. And Lacey Jones, another partier. Simply inappropriate. Angelo Crest also seemed to be sitting by them, he didn't mind him so much. She even liked his alter ego, Arri, which couldn't be said for many.
Regardless, the fact that she didn't approve of people didn't mean that she had to starve. Violet's feet brought her nearer to the bowl of apples and soon she was close enough to reach out and grab one, they were in front of Jay. "Excuse me, Chambers." Violet said quietly, not wanting to add more unnecessary noise to the Hall. Her hand grasped a bright red apple, it was absolutely perfect. She snatched it back and stood holding it awkwardly. Should she say something in greeting? They should be like comrades, she supposed. But that may be taken as a hostility, since she was almost always hostile. She decided on taking a bite out of the crisp apple to make up for any awkwardness that may ensue from her just standing there behind Jay.

Layla smiled brightly as she saw Lacey arrive to the table, a slightly unusual thing for the older girl. "Good morning!" she piped up brightly. She was already serving herlself waffles and a banana muffin, adding a lot of syrup to both. She looked around and found some berries on a plate, and she added those on top of her waffle, along with some whipped cream. She loved breakfast, as most of the sweet foods were served at that time. Lunch and dinner weren't as fun, and she had to look around a bit to find something of her taste. As she took her first bite of the overly sweetened muffin, she heard Lacey ask about last night's party. "Oh I didn't, but I'm gonna find out in a bit, I bet Briony knows just about everything on that matter!" she commented after swallowing, laughing lightly. "I'm kinda surprised you weren't there! And you're up really early today, looking fresh and wide awake."
Soon after they were joined by Angelo, a fellow 5th year, whom she liked very much. She could easily tell it was Angelo, his eyes were a soft and gentle shade of blue. "Hi Ang! Missed you at the feast last night! Ready for classes today? I'm really excited, but I don't think I'll be able to sit through them all again..." she said, complaining a little about the fact that she had to sit for hours at a time.
People were arriving quickly at the table, which made her happy, as she loved being surrounded by others. "Hi Jay, I'm Layla, remember me? We talked a bit during the train ride. I sat by the window, and you are so tall... Want something for your headache?" she asked, noticing a slight pulsing on the seventh year's temples, not something everyone else would. Then a hand reached behind Jay towards the apples, right in front of him, and Layla's eyes went wide. She recognized the voice, which sent a shiver down her spine. She looked back down at her plate and started eating before the older Ravenclaw could ruin her breakfast.

Lacey smirked, turning around to glance at the Hufflepuff table. "I'll have to go an corner her later to hear all the latest gossip." She said with a small laugh as Angelo sat down beside them, giving a friendly grin as he greeted them. "Hey Ange." she said, hoping it wasn't another one of his alternates. She often got them confused, and ended up calling them the wrong name. Often she simply stuck with the nicknames, but today she could tell it really was Angelo. He was too happy and peaceful to be any of the others.
And then Jay joined the group, and Lacey couldn't help but beam. If there was anyone in her house that she could look to to have a good time, it was Jay, and boy did they always have a great time. The two were both big partiers, something that wasn't often found in Ravenclaw. And besides, Jay and she were quite familiar with eachother, particularly in the facial area. Lacey certainly wasn't ashamed of the way she acted at parties, and certainly didn't have to blaim alcohol for her actions. She was a free-lover, and that was all well and good.
"Jay, I know you had to be at the Gryffindor party." she said coyly, scooting over to sit next to him with a mischevious grin. "I want to know every detail. I have to make up for lost party-time, don't I?" she explained. "And of course you missed me, Jay." she said with a smirk. "Though I'm sure you found another lovely lady to spend your time with."
She noticed Violet approach, grabbing an apple and not greeting anyone. Violet was the embodiement of Ravenclaw-- something the girl took far too seriously-- but Lacey was the type to find the good in such people. "'Lo Vi. Off studying?"

Angelo smiled at them, as they both greeted him. "Hello to you too, Lala, and Lace." He responded kindly. "Thanks for missing me. I didn't think anyone would." He responded with a smile. A laugh escaped his lips as Layla asked if he was ready for classes. "Yeah I'm ready as I'll ever be. I understand, I wish I could go outside for all of the classes, being outside is SO much better than being in a stuffy classroom." He responded with a nod of his head.
Angelo's was quick to turn his gaze toward the Gryffindor table and spied Lily coming sitting down, and looking over at him. He gave her a kind smile, the same one he had done so last night, a small blush appearing on his cheeks when he remembered what he had done. Now that made him worried, had he done something upset her? No she didn't seem upset, at least not from what he could tell. He gave her a small wave, hoping to not attract the attention of the others who were around him. He doubted it, and he probably did, considering the large crowd he was with at the moment.
Angelo didn't respond much to at all, when Jay walked up and greeted them all. He didn't really like the older Ravenclaw, for obvious reasons, reasons that he wasn't about to think about right now. While the other Raven was talking, Angelo reached over and took two pancakes and two waffles and poured himself a glass of milk. And when Violet came up, and grabbed an apple, Angelo had purposely focused on his food, eating his food, so as to not speak in case Violet said something mean to either Layla or Lacey on whatever it was she always said.

Staring up at Violet, he sighed. She hadn't started off being this stuffy, and he honestly missed her in her more relaxed incarnation. "Congratulations on being the Head Girl," he commented in an apathetic monotone. He had nothing that he wanted to convey to her, except that he wanted her far away, preferable not right in front of him, especially while he was trying to eat. Luckily, she didn't seem to have any intention of sitting with them, so he could ignore her and go back to the matter at hand.
"Hey Layla," he said, his voice returning to its normal sweet tone, "I actually do remember you, which must mean you made a good impression...I'm so hungover that I barely remember my own name!" This was a joke, as Jay /never/ forgot anything, making him the perfect gossopmongerer. He held some kind of information on everyone, which gave him all the power that he could ever truly want or need.
Jay laughed, pulling Lacey into a hug. "I missed you!" Strangely enough, although it pretty much went against all of his usual ways, he really had missed her. She was certainly easy enough to flirt with, a relaxing type of flirtation that just seemed to improve both of their mentalities. Turning to her, he grinned and began, "HUGE scandals...you actually missed a lot. Erm, James kissed Gia, who freaked, and then that Hufflepuff moron Allen kissed Rose. And Aisu, who freaked." He shrugged, deciding against telling her about him and Roxanne. He wanted to keep that to himself for as long as possible. "A few other things, but your lovely presence is distracting me."

A smirk appeared on Violet's lips, Layla was clearly intimidated by her presense. It made her want to hang out here for a while, but the others were obviously wanting her to go as well. But it was just too sweet a feeling, a slight control over another's actions, she couldn't leave quite yet. Angelo was also staring at his food, but she knew that she bothered him by how she treated the inferior, she wouldn't push it.
"Lacey," Violet nodded at the girl who had acknowledged her presense verbally. "I was just going to the library, in fact. I need a book..." Her sentence trailed off, her mind had started to wander, wondering which book she wanted. By this point, she had figured that she had already read most of the books worth reading. A lot of them repeated information, but what part of her intellect needed refreshing?
Jay's comment made her look at the badge pinned on her chest. Violet decided it was smarter to not say anything, it was clear that he was hungover from whatever illegal party had happened last night, and he didn't like her much to begin with. That party, she should have crashed it. But, she had had better things to do. Not that she was likely to tell anyone what she had disappeared to do.
As Jay and Lacey moved on to a new topic, some gossip that Violet had no interest in, she stepped away from the table. She had hoped to see Quin there, but he was probably still recovering from the party as well. She snuck a peek at the Slytherin table, to see if his face was among the few present. It wasn't; a barely detectable frown appeared on her face.
She finished the apple as she exited the Hall, throwing it behind her and making it bounce onto the top of the nearest pile of garbage for the house elves to clean up. It was unclear whether she had used magic to accomplish this task or not, either way she left the Hall with a smirk of arrogance and a graceful stride.

Layla smiled brightly at Lacey's words, because she knew Briony would be excited to recount all the gossip too. "There's always a lot of gossip to find out about with her, it's really fun!" she commented.
Another bite from her oversweetened food and she turned to Angelo again. "I know, we should really propose that somewhere. Is there somewhere to do that? A lot of teachers could really use the fresh air too, I bet Mr. Slughorn would, I hear fresh air is good for older people. But maybe the butterflies would try to get in the potions. That would be weird. And I'd be able to walk around a lot more!" she said, her mind drifting off a few ways as she spoke so that you'd have to cut and rejoin parts of her thoughts, like usual.
Layla noticed Angelo's eyes drifted towards the Gryffindor table and she noticed a red-headed girl smiling and waving. The soft smile on the brunette's lips remained as she turned back to Angelo. "She's pretty." was all she said on the matter. She beamed at Jay's comment about her presence, the thought of being noticed by a nice reason being quite enjoyable. She listened in to the gossip Jay had about the party as she muched on the muffin, part of her mind off in the woods, hoping for care of magical creatures class to be interesting.
As Violet started speaking, though, she was frozen in place, expecting the harsh comments to start at any second, but thankfully they never came. Violet left the table, and the Hall, Layla noticed, without much more than a few words and the bright smile was back up on her lips as she dug in to her sweet food.

Lacey's focus had became transfixed on Jay, taking in all his features in one quick, sweeping motion. He was an handsome man after all, perhaps even more so from the last time she had seen him. That was the wonderful thing about the teenage years-- boys just kept maturing and looking even more gorgeous as time went on.
He pulled her into a hug, with her smiling broadly. The boy never did give up a chance to flirt, but she didn't mind so much. With some boys it seemed rather annoying, like they were trying too hard, but with Jay, it always seemed so natural. When he began to speak about what had happened in the party, Lacey pouted. She knew she was going to miss a lot because she had missed it, and cursed herself for not have going.
"Gia and James? Well it was only a matter of time, I suppose." Lacey said with a shrug. She knew most of the key party figures at Hogwarts, so most of his news hadn't quite come as a shock so much as inevitable in her opinion. "But you say she didn't seem thrilled about it? Strange. Those two always seemed perfect for each other." she said nonchalantly. "And Allen and Rose are old news. Allen is as bad as I am when you get him drunk." she said with a playful smirk, glancing sideways at Jay as she took another bite.
Lacey had sampled most of the guys within a one year range throughout the school, even from every house, she was proud to say. She had never considered herself slutty-- slutty was doing it for personal gain in her mind. She did it because she enjoyed it, because it was natural instinct, something she was supposed to do. And Lacey wasn't the type to fight instinct. If she was to meet the right person, that might change. But for now, she was satisfied kissing frogs to find the right one.
"But Aisu is news. I'm sure he didn't take it well." she said, rolling her eyes. The blind wizard had never really seemed like the sexual type, and a kiss from a drunk boy would have probably sent him reeling. She had barely realized that she had been rambling, the paused, frowning slightly. "Wish I'd been there." she said wistfully, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice.

Angelo nodded to what Layla said. He already finished off his pancakes and was starting on his waffles. "Yeah we should." He said with a smile. His smile wavered slightly. "If there is, I don't know where it is." He asked alond, not really sure as to where they'd take that information to and who they would talk to. He chuckled good naturedly. "That's true they probably would. The butterflies, would be more attracted to me, than the positions in positions class." He said truthfully, nodding his head in agreement with what he had said. He gave Layla a smile. "Yes you would. And I might actuarially pay attention, so Arri wouldn't have to sub in for me in class." He said with a boyish smile, still not showing his teeth when he smiled.
Angelo beamed at Layla's comment about Lily being pretty. He totally agreed with her on that. Lily was indeed pretty, she was gorgeous in his eyes, the prettiest girl he ever laid eyes on. "Yes, yes she is...." He agreed, he was currently on cloud nine, with how his voice just trailed off, his eyes taking a distant look to them, his cheek resting in his hand, with his elbow currently on the table, his food forgotten, the conversation he was currently having was forgotten. He had missed everything that Jay and Lacey were talking about. He was off in his own little world, at the moment.

Jay chuckled, also focusing more on Lacey. She'd always been in his peripherals, after all, there were only so many true partiers in the school, people who never missed any of them, and wanted desperately to live on the party high that they all enjoyed. She was pretty, it was true, and they had become well-acquainted, but he felt as if his attention was split between so many girls that she was only one part of all of the girls that comprised Jay's heart. But he exhaled slowly, drinking a bit of pumpkin juice as he listened to her talk.
"They were actually shockingly cute," he said haltingly, although he actually disagreed with his own comment. Gia was too good for James, and even though he appreciated one of his best guy friends, it was clear that he and Gia would never work out--he wouldn't be able to keep hold of her, she was too fast for him. "And Allen and Rose...tell me, have you hooked up with Allen?" It would be interesting to be able to hold that over the two of them, as he suspected that they would soon be an item.
Noticing her glance, he grinned back, adding a slight wink into the equation. Truly, free love chicks were the best people in the universe. They never minded if you weren't there in the morning, and for him, that was the best possible thing a girl could act on.

Layla smiled at Angelo as she noticed his mind drifting off to some place she imagined would be all soft and sweet. She turned back towards the other two, noticing she was being ignored by all her housemates. She giggled a bit and her mind wandered off again, only half listening to what they were saying. She figured Briony must know all of it anyway, but it could be a conversation with her friend.
Layla finished up her muffin and waffles and grabbed some whipped cream on her plate, eating it whit a spoon happily. She thought of the train ride again, thinking about the great amount of candy that remained on her bag for her to snack on during the day.

Lacey smiled knowingly at Jay's comments about Gia and James. It was obvious that Jay thought highly of Gia, since his flirting with her was much more personal than with any other girl. Lacey knew a thing or two about the psychology of flirting, being very adept at it herself. But it all depended on how Gia felt, and that wasn't quite that obvious.
She and Jay had much in common in their methods of free love, and she understood that she wasn't much more than an occasional hook up in his heart. Lacey could understand that, but the way he talked about and looked at Gia was a bit different. She pursed her lips slightly until Jay asked his next question.
"Oh, who hasn't darling?" she said with a laugh in regard's to his question about Allen. "He's quite a little minx when he has some booze in him. Nothing special, like he has with Rosie, but a hook up once, maybe twice." She yawned slightly, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice. She smirked into her cup at his silly wink. Seduction didn't really work on her, but if she was in the mood, she would play along.

Lacey's knowing smile was never a good sign. He'd learned to observe it from miles away, practically, and seeing it meant that she had something over him. It was a pattern that they'd fallen into years ago, after some long night, when they'd both been caught trying to sneak into their Common Room. But in this case, she was absolutely wrong.
There was nothing between him and Gia, for now, at least...although that could change soon, if he was man enough to do something about it. Somehow, though, the idea of the news of him & Gia getting to Roxanne made him feel slightly guilty, even though nothing had even happened. True, he'd kissed Roxanne, and yes, she'd kissed him, but that meant nothing in the long run, and by tomorrow, she would probably have some other guy following her around and carrying her books.
"Well," he said with a smirk, "I haven't hooked up with him, love. Maybe I've missed out on these minxlike qualities, but I always thought the guy was sort of a drip." Grabbing a sip of coffee, he let his mind wander as Lacey fell into a deep gaze into her pumpkin juice, clearly hiding some sort of an emotion from him. Whatever, it was early in the morning. She'd warm up again later. They always did.

Angelo blinked out of his stupor. Now completely lost in the conversation that was taking place, not that he hadn't been lost when the conversation had started up, seeing as he hadn't been invited and he never was one to be invited to parties, seeing as he figured most people thought of him and his alters as freaks, except by few people who were their friends. Angelo finished his food, and shoved the plate away and finished his glass of milk, wiping his mouth, before he got up from the table. Seeing no reason to stay and continue this already lost conversation. He hated being the oddball, the odd-one-out, the freak among normal people. Hell who was he kidding! His alters fit in better their own respective houses than he did. Arri was the real Ravenclaw. Artemas was the real Gryffindor. Alec was the real Hufflepuff. Ares was the real Slytherin, now the only question is, where did that leave him, the original one out of them all? Where did that leave him? Those were only little questions that ran through his mind every now and then, and now was one of those times for those types of questions to come flooding back into his brain, making him far more confused than he was before.
Angelo shook his head softly. He would dwell on those questions later... when he was alone, it easier that way. Angelo bid the other's a soft farewell, he didn't wait for an answer before left the Great Hall, heading to who knows where, probably back to the Ravenclaw Tower, or maybe outside, either way, one would see him or rather they'd see Arri during class, obviously.
(Ugh yeah this post sucks. Yeah I made Angie leave, there wasn't much for him to do anyways.)

Post by Sophocles Mercier on Nov 2, 2010 23:53:38 GMT -5
A handsome fellow moved in an odd manner, swaggered about in a line that was hardly straight, placing his feet wherever they felt they needed to be, which was not straight at all. This bizarre gait was one that seemed almost fitting, unnoticed by first years that scurried past him, anxiously shuffling to their tables. His chocolate eyes followed their quickly moving figures, surprisingly pack-like regardless of the short time they'd spent together. They moved like little bundles of mice, he mused, so unlike the drunks that stumbled around their halls last night. It did not take someone half as astute to realise Gryffindor had thrown another painfully noisy party, which his lip curled at, though he did not linger on whether it was jealousy or disapproval of the action that provoked him.
Sophocles had slept late (which was not exceedingly unusual) and dressed in his school robes leisurely. He strolled through the castle from the Ravenclaw's lofty accommodations without even a tempus charm. The boy was quite unhurried, especially in the mornings when sleep clouded his vision and soreness from his bizarre sleeping positions still combated his protesting muscles. Regardless, his stomach had called enough that he'd risen, a bright looking grin plastered on his face as his mind drifted freely. The path was simple enough, even with the shifting stairs.
He had something to try and focus on now. For now, the normal morning reverie (crazed and bewildered) had become something more than that. Slightly civilized. He needed to become slightly less inebriated by the thoughts that buzzed between his ears day in and day out. A low gurgle from his stomach pressed him as his pace quickened to a slow two-beat gait. His feet lay themselves down, one after the other, his head hung dangerously low in a sense of one who stalks, permanently. He chuckled. It was a bizarre mood he was in, but it calmed as soon as he saw the table.
Standing in the mouth of the Great Hall, he grinned, breathing a large amount of air before his lungs snapped back, protesting. His teeth were rather white considering his habits, and he did, briefly, considering the sweetest rings with distance to the filter that left him with the best of the drug. The boy smirked, adopting a carefree grin as his head tilted down and his gaze up. It was nearly a look of innocence, though his lips betrayed any sign of that and the people seated at the Ravenclaw table would certainly know it. He barely paid attention as his mind registered the people that sat there, excited when he saw Jay but ignoring him for the present. His mind fixed on a girl who was shoving down whipped cream in a way that made him pause, eyebrow raised for a moment before he continued. He drew closer to her, handsome swagger and devilish charm leaking from a toothy, luring smirk. "Hello, m'dear. You look well." Sophocles breathed into to her ear from behind her, certain Layla was distracted enough to have not seen him coming up. His voice was gentle, nearly purring in his throat at his impulsive tease. Pulling back quickly, he continued as if he'd not said anything. After all, it had been more of a statement than a question.
Sophocles settled near Jay, whom he eyed apologetically for not greeting him earlier, his eyes gleaming with a sort of mischievous glint. He grinned, his head motioning to the airheaded girl as if silently asking what he thought or at least expressing his amusement in having done so. The gesture was short and his head raised to the other occupants of the table. "Hello my lovely ladies--gents," He briefly pondered asking how they were, but it wasn't necessarily all that interesting. The sixth-year regarded Lacey, the other female present, with a brief appraising look, though his expression was still mixed from his previous joy. "And Jay. How are we all doing today?" His question was mostly the latter, and he chucked at his joke, certain it would keep his mood high enough to not come to regret asking.
ooc: I am sorry, he's in a mood and being a weirdy McWeirdersperson. I had trouble gathering my thoughts.
