Sentences, no bullets
Hair: Penelope is the perfectly blonde child that most parents can only dream of. She even has the gentle curls that most girls would die for, and she knows it.
Eyes: The most striking features on her face are her mesmerizing blue eyes. Of course, most people don’t describe them as such, but Penny herself thinks they are quite stunning.
Face: Penelope considers her face to be perfectly sculpted, practically made by an artist. In truth, it's pretty, but it's almost always accompanied by a vacant stare and a smile that screams 'I have no idea what's going on right now'.
Body, include weight and height: Standing at about 5’4”, Penny despises her height, especially when people call attention to it. It makes her feel inferior, which is never a good thing. Her build is a willowy one, practically a dancer’s build if she would ever dance.
Face Claim: Emilie de Ravin
Other: Not that I can think of
Personality:
The first adjective most people would jump to immediately when describing Penny is stupid. While this is not completely true, it’s accurate enough to be taken as fact. She does not possess an ounce of common sense or logic skills, much less book smarts. Somehow she managed to pull a passing grade in most of her subjects, but generally she is just not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Most days, Penelope is also very kind. She likes interesting people, but can get along with practically anyone as long as they are accepting of her. She can be quite chatty when talking to the right person, or she can be quiet when talking to someone less interesting. To go along with her other Huffley characteristics, Penny is also loyal. She would never do anything to intentionally hurt her friends.
Penny also tends to be quite flirtatious. She is the kind of person who loves to be loved, she can’t help it. She likes to compliment fish; it’s one of her favorite past times. Because of these traits, most other females can’t stand to be around her when she’s throwing herself at boys.
Penelope also has a streak of innocence. Of course, she realizes that lust and love and all that exist, she just never seems to expect it when it rears its face. To this effect, she knows practically nothing about anything even remotely sexual, and has to have things broken to her by the friends she does have. She is always shocked at the fact that such dirty things exist, but that never prepares her for next time.
Being raised around Quidditch as consistently as she was, she’s still addicted. This is probably the only subject that she has any knowledge in whatsoever, although this does not make her a tomboy. She is far from it, she can be seen on the Quidditch pitch applying more make up before a practice, and she gets distracted by things constantly while trying to play.
Penny also tends to be very absentminded, there is probably not a possession she has that she has not lost at least once. She forgets where she’s headed or forgets what classes she had homework in. She is also not the best at remembering names or faces, but she’ll be courteous while pretending like she knows who someone is.
Of course, like anyone else, Penny has a few quirks. The first is that she cannot resist anything that looks soft. She has to touch it. She can’t help herself. Most of the time this doesn’t present a whole lot of a problem, unless of course the thing she’s touching is someone’s hair or clothes when that someone doesn’t especially want to be petted.

History and Details:
Penny’s parents met at a Quidditch match. The two never make it seem very romantic, but Penelope likes embellishing the story. It’s the sort of story that she starts with a ‘Once upon a time’ and ends with ‘they all lived happily ever after.’ In reality, the story is quite bland. Katie had recently finished her seven years at Hogwarts, and was taking advantage of her freedom. Her parents had paid for her to follow a professional Quidditch team around for the whole of their games, a very expensive present that she is, to this day, thankful for. Katie chose Puddlemere United, not only because her Team Captain, Oliver Wood, was on the reserve team, but because they would be less expensive for her parents to buy.
It was during the match when Puddlemere crushed the Tutshill Tornadoes, where Henry and Katie met. They had seats next to each other, up in the nosebleed section. They got to talking about strategy, which led to other conversation, which led to Henry asking Katie on a date. One date turned into many, and soon enough Henry asked her to marry him. He asked during a Quidditch match, while they were practically in the front row. Henry paid the team to hold up signs spelling out the question. She immediately said yes, and a few months later they were married.
As Henry started his career as a Healer, something he’s always been adept at, Katie made it onto the Kenmare Kestrels after a few years being a reserve player. After a couple years of playing for the Kestrals, Katie became pregnant with her first child and took a break from playing.
From the moment she was born, Katie knew that she would not get along with her daughter, Penelope. The crying was what got her. It wasn’t like any baby’s cry, no, Penny’s was somehow louder and more whining. Katie couldn’t get the sound out of her ears for years. Despite that, Katie somehow managed to get through Penelope’s childhood without going deaf and got pregnant again.
This time Katie loved the baby at first sight, Claire was definitely her mother’s favorite. But of course, if one parent has a favorite, the other must as well. Penny was a Daddy’s girl from the start; Henry always pampered her with the best, which would have infuriated Katie if she knew where the money was going.
When Claire was born Penny was five years old and still obsessed with dolls. Of course, her dolls were the kind that actually grew hair, magically of course, and complained when you dressed them in the wrong clothes. Penny's favorite doll was a redhead with a tendency to start bawling after a play session with too much mismatching. Katie confiscated said doll after a few months, being sick of the crying.
After dolls, Penny graduated to stuffed animals. Of course, in typical young Penny fashion, she demanded certain animals that were not easily attained. Henry, or course, acquired all of her exotic desires, such as the platypus, the anteater, the armadillo, and the all-elusive raptor dinosaur. They all had to be somewhat fluffy, Henry cheated with the raptor and performed a simple charm to make it grow fur. Penny never noticed, to this day she isn't sure whether dinosaurs have fluff or not.
The only family bonding that went on in Penny’s childhood was the constant Quidditch, which worked quite well. Penny liked it because the brooms went fast, even if she didn’t understand the goal of it for a while. Her favorites were her mother’s games, and Penelope tried her hardest to cheer louder than anyone else in the crowd. It was then that Penny became addicted to the sport and was determined to show her mother that she could be proud of Penelope because of Quidditch.
Claire and Penelope always had a decent relationship. Of course, as Claire was so much younger she was the typical pest, but since Penny was gone at Hogwarts for the majority of Claire’s annoying phase that never strained their relationship much.
Then there was that fateful day that her Hogwarts letter arrived. Oh, Penelope can remember it well. She was in the kitchen in the family's home in Kenmare, Ireland, where they lived because of Katie's job. Penny has a slight Irish accent that she picked up in her early years there. So there Penny was, minding her own business, baking cookies for the family, and an owl practically dive bombed her. Penny shrieked and ran, Henry coming in the other way, wand in hand, to defend against any intruders. Penny returned to the kitchen warily as Henry, chuckling, beckoned her. He held out the letter to her, proudly, and made her read it aloud. Penny is still not very fond of Great Horned Owls, especially not any of them that may work for Hogwarts. They are much too prone to violence.
Henry and Penelope went to Diagon Alley together to buy the supplies Penny would need for her expedition to Hogwarts, Penny's favorite part by far was when they stopped in Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. She still never misses a visit whenever she finds herself in Diagon Alley. Then, of course, she was off to the train. Even her mother cried as she bid her first daughter farewell, holding the hand of the second to make sure she didn't run after.
The train ride itself was fairly uneventful, albeit intimidating. Most of the older kids looked down at Penny with disdain, she was, after all, only a frightened little blonde first year. She sat in a compartment with many others in her year, and they discussed important issues like houses and what food they might get at Hogwarts. Penny's opinion was that Gryffindor was the only way to go, it was the house her mother was in and her mother was her only true role model. The other students agreed with Penny, but said that Ravenclaw would be fairly awesome as well. Slytherin and Hufflepuff remained the two houses that practically no one wanted to be in.
As the train slowed to a stop, Penny remembers, her heart wanted to pound out of its secure pocket. Nervous can not even begin to describe how she felt. Of course, she was scared, she didn't know what was to happen next. She was anxious for whatever was going to happen to happen. She was excited to finally be at the place that her parents had spoken so highly of her entire childhood. She was embarrassed to not know what would happen next, even though she was used to not knowing much.
As they crossed the lake, Penny was stuck in a boat with some girl that she wouldn't be able to recognize later even if she had wanted to. The lake smelled bad, like all lakes do, not to mention that the girl she was in the boat with was shaking so bad that they almost tipped over at least twice.
It was approximately at the time the first years entered the Great Hall to the hushed silence when Penny felt the butterflies in her stomach start to roar in anticipation. They were called up in alphabetical order, shit. She was a C. What if they didn't call her? What if- "Collins, Penelope."
Penelope stumbled in her haste to get up to the ragged old hat. The students in the Hall all laughed good naturedly at her, and she waved to them, blushing. She was an unclaimed first year, after all, they must be kind to her in case they were forced to be with her for the next few years. Even the first years managed to let out nervous little giggles at her fall.
She sat at the chair, her feet not even reaching the ground as she backed into it. The hat was dropped onto her head, over her eyes, shielding her from the stares of everyone else in the Hall. 'Well, you're certainly not the brightest. Not Ravenclaw, or Slytherin for that matter. Much too good natured. But are you made for Gryffindor? Possibly, but rather, you fit the mold of Hufflepuff quite nicely.' The Hat whispered into her ear. Her heart sank, Hufflepuff? That was not a highly spoken of house. 'Oh shush. It's a nice house, you'll like it there.' The Hat told her with a slight attitude. It must get that kind of reaction a lot, you see. "HUFFLEPUFF" It shouted into the hushed hallway, and the yellow tinged table erupted in cheers, while the green tinged one glared at her as she walked by. The blue one seemed aloof at this, but that must just be their way. The red table seemed enthusiastically disappointed, as they were with all the first years that were not sorted to belong there.
The Hufflepuffs were really much to kind to dislike, even if she didn't want to sit at the yellow table at first. The older kids clapped her on the back, she was the first to be sorted there. An exuberant second year boy even kissed her cheek as she sat next to him, which made her turn a lovely shade of pink. The feast itself was uneventful, although the second year boy would not shut up. That was fine though, he seemed nice enough.
Her ensuing years were extremely dull, as years at Hogwarts go. She made friends, had a few boyfriends, although her relationships never lasted long. The boys always bored her after a month or so. She found that she was practically a squib when compared to everyone else in her year, but that was alright. Most of them were good natured about it, a few even asked for her help in the one subject she was decent at, Herbology.
Penny matured, emotionally and physically. Emotionally, she became more infatuated with boys and the prospect of romance. Physically, well, you know. She became more than just a cute little kid, she became an awkward teenager, although still awkwardly pretty. In the present, she has blossomed into a not so awkward beautiful lady.
