Just a few thing to keep in mind when creating your character:
I doubt this is going to be one of those enormous roleplays with a ton of people. Hopefully we'll get plenty, but we'll see.
We don't want any perfect characters, or those insanely tragic characters. No perfect badasses or the poor kid whose parents were killed and now Hogwarts is her only home and she just loves it to death. BORING.
Character relationships with each other are VERY important in things like this, because it keeps everything interesting.
Try to make it so your character has ties to other characters so EVERYONE can be involved. To be honest, when you have 4 or 5 characters who are really involved in a particular storyline, and then 4 more involved in another storyline, and then there's that one little lonely tragic character who likes to be alone yet has nothing to do with the plot....see what I mean? No one is going to pay attention to the character who has nothing to do with anything.
Soooo MAKE your character involved. Give them motivation for who they wanna be friends with and what they're involved in. Just keep it original please.
Now, I know that the books are all pretty much PG. But let's be serious, guys. 200+ teenagers all living together in a castle for months at a time? Shit's gonna happen.
There's gonna be a lot of drama. Give me hook-ups, relationships, drinking, sneaking around, close friendships, arguments....DRAMAAAAA! =D
Give me that girl who sleeps around but has a dark secret that could change everything. The silly innocent smart girl who suddenly decides she wants to be different, and be known as more than just the smart girl who never breaks the rules. Just make it original and INTERESTING.
Everyone has flaws, including your characters. Everyone has things that happen in their life that affect the way they live...show us how your character's past has affected their live and how they act.
Okay, well that was more than a few things, so that's all with my drama speech for now. Please don't disappoint us =)
