Sentences, no bullets
Hair: Hazel has long, dark brown hair that's kind of wavy but she sometimes curls or straightens it. She has bangs that partially cover her one eye.
Eyes: She's actually named for her eye color. She has very large. almond shaped hazel eyes.
Face: She has a heart-shaped face with very high, defined cheekbones. She always looks kind of bored. She looks older than she actually is.
Body, include weight and height: Hazel is roughly five-six with a slender build that belies how strong she actually is from working out with Ace and Ray. She weighs roughly 113 pounds, but a lady never reveals her actual weight.
Face Claim: Hanna Beth
Other: Her nose and the right side of her upper lip are pierced. She has a black rose tattooed on her right shoulder and angel wings on her back. (She's affiliated with the Salvatores; it was a requirement.)
Personality:
Hazel has never encountered a challenge she couldn't meet. She's highly intelligent and thinks of everything as a game of chess; the key is to out-manuveur everyone else. She does that very well. If presented with a particularly difficult challenge, Hazel won't give up until she's conquered it. Failure is not an option with her.
She's loyal to the Salvatore family almost to a fault and will do anything for them. That does mean anything. Hazel will kill or bribe politicians to further the ambitions of the Salvatores. She's extremely dangerous if you make an enemy of her, but she's a very helpful friend...if you get on her good side.
While we're on the subject of getting on her good side, it's not easy to do. She's distrustful and cold, and you're almost constantly walking on eggshells around her. Her early life made her have a very hard time trusting anyone, and if you do gain her trust, be careful with it. If you do anything to give her a reason to not trust you, she won't. She might even go after you.
If you're close to her, Hazel can be a very loving and helpful. She will do pretty much anything for the people she cares about, and can be counted on to come to your aid no matter what. Because of over-exposure to Ace, she's a pretty honorable person and will help a person in need even if she doesn't like them...unless that person happens to be Val, whom she hates absolutely. That's another story, though; Val is an exception to all rules that Hazel has.
She is, in many ways, a person molded by suffering. She keeps up her walls and makes sure everyone stays at a distance, because they can't hurt her that way. Hazel isn't one to show any real weakness, so she tries to not let anyone see her cry or break down because they could use that against her. On the other hand, she puts a lot of effort forth to finding out the weaknesses of others because she can use those to get them to do what she wants them to. Like Val, she isn't above using other people to do her dirty work. It's not that she's lazy; she just has more important things to do half the time and can't be bothered with mundane tasks. At the same time, if it's for Ace, she'll do it, even if it's below her and insults her intelligence...which does often happen. What can she do? She swore to serve Ace.
That brings us to another part. Hazel is a woman of her word; she never backs down from it. If she swears to do something, she'll do it, even if she regrets it later. Nothing can convince her to break a solemn vow, even the person she made the vow to. Interestingly enough, she tends to write vows in her own blood in a little black book that she keeps. That way they're more binding.

Family:
First and Last Name, muggle or witch/wizard, occupation
Mother: Arienne Rose-mother, muggle, ?.?.?
Father:
Siblings:
Others (list): Ace Salvatore-best friend, witch, Hazel is her vassal
Ray Salvatore-kinda boyfriend/bestfriend, wizard
Val Salvatore-archrival, witch
History and Details:
Hazel was born to Arienne Rose and an unknown muggle man who walked out just weeks after the birth of his daughter, and Arienne spiraled into a massive depression. Hazel spent much of her early life taking care of her mother, creating the motherly, somewhat stern persona that she carried through life. She became a very withdrawn, silent person and rarely opened up to her classmates...excluding the occasional fight that she got into when they made fun of her mother. Nobody's allowed to make fun of Arienne; it's Hazel's father's fault that she is the way she is. Hazel's never been able to tolerate people that dared poke fun at her mother.
When she was around ten, she met Acrecia Salvatore and her life changed forever. Ace was running away from a bunch of people, and Hazel was out front of the principal's office waiting for her mother to arrive after she got into another fight. She dragged her down the hallway, and Hazel was first introduced to the Salvatore family. That afternoon, Ace took Hazel to Palazzo Salvatore, and she first encountered Ray Salvatore. This was the beginning of a very rocky relationship between her and Ray. They dated on and off for the next couple of years, and entered a school in Rome together. Of course, Ace had to be different and went to Hogwarts.
At around age eleven, Hazel vowed to serve the Salvatore family and began to live on the grounds of Palazzo Salvatore in a little house with her mother. She took lessons in swordsplay and things like that along with Ace and Ray, becoming very talented with poisons and knives. Along the way, she learned that the Salvatore family had never abandoned the system of vassals and lords that they'd used during the Renaissance, but had updated the system to be less restrictive in recent years with the urging of more modern family members. She was offered the same opportunities as a vassal that the born family members were, and she was greatful for it. She became very close to Ace, learning that her friend was the future Head of Family, and swore to help her in any way possible. Of course, that often lead to her cleaning up Ace's messes.
A few years later, learning that Val had transferred schools, Jaydin Salvatore ordered Hazel to transfer as well to keep an eye on his errant "daughter" and her "cousin." Hazel was quick to agree and transferred schools. Of course, she couldn't find Ace and began to catch wind of some rumors about a diary. Curious, she set out to gather more information. It wasn't particularly easy, and she hasn't learned anything yet, but she's still working on it. She's not the type to just give up and go back to looking for Ace like Val is; she's also too proud to abandon her new mission, especially considering that she thinks the info she's trying to gather could be useful to Ace.

Role-playing Sample:
Hazel looked up at the castle, unimpressed. She preferred Palazzo Salvatore, especially the little cottage she shared with her mother, but she had a job, and she'd never been one to just accept a failure. She needed to find Ace and make sure her friend didn't do something stupid and get herself hurt as Ace was so often prone to. Sometimes, Hazel wondered about her friend...
When somebody bumped into her, she glowered at them, and the boy stammered an apology, hurrying on his way. She wondered if people were always intimidated by her, or if it was just the British. Everything here was very different from her home...
She continued walking through the hallways, listening carefully to the whispered conversations. A diary? Had she just heard a mention of a diary? That sounded promising; people tended to keep their deepest, darkest secrets in their diaries, and Hazel was in the business of gathering secrets. Master Jaydin would be very pleased with her if she could learn a useful thing or two during her time here.
For the time being, though, she had an impulsive hothead to track down. The only thing she was wondering was how somebody like Ace could disappear so completely. One would think that they most...interesting of the young Salvatores would stick out in a crowd. Of course, Val didn't exactly stick out, and she was certainly a fascination person...if not a rather annoying one. All the same, she'd assumed that a rowdy person like her best friend would show up amongst a crowd of such...damn boring people. She really didn't like boring people, now that she was thinking of it. They had few secrets to learn...of course, they tended to not pry into hers, and she appreciated that.
Hearing somebody talking about a werewolf, she turned her head slightly in their direction then rolled her eyes and looked ahead again. Rumors...just rumors. Not like it would matter if there was a werewolf. Val might try to use him, but Hazel had little interest in such things. She only cared about it if it affected the well-being of the Salvatores, especially Ace, and otherwise wouldn't bother herself with it.
She supressed a sigh, looking around and trying to get her bearings. Where the hell was Ace...? And Val, for that matter? Normally, she'd be perfectly happy with not dealing with Val, but any time that the other Salvatore twin had to get to Ace was time that Hazel lost. She hated it when Val won and tried to avoid such situations.
