Hair:Val wears her brownish-black hair long and in messed-up layers minus Ace’s bright highlights; it covers her left eye completely.
Eyes: She has almond-shaped green eyes but has to wear an eyepatch over her left one because it’s blind after a childhood incident.
Face: She has an oval-shaped face that doesn’t have many sharp edges with high cheekbones.
Body, include weight and height: Val is actually taller than Ace, standing at five-foot-seven and weighs roughly 112 lbs. She’s pretty well built for the same reasons as Ace, and has a number of nasty scars courtesy of Ray and Ace.
Face Claim:Mandy Moore
Other:She has a few tattoos but the most notable are the angel wings tattooed on her back. (A guardian angel is the symbol of the Salvatore family-their name does translate to “saviour” after all!)Another notable feature is her eyepatch, which she has to wear courtesy of Ace. She doesn’t like dying her hair, but has a few more ear piercings than some would call proper. Other than that, Val is a pretty clean-cut teenage girl.
Personality:
Val comes off as being even more irritating than Ace. She acts like a stupid, overly flirtatious ditz. In truth, she does this because nobody suspects her of anything that she may or may not be guilty of when she acts this way. She also flirts with Ace a lot, but that’s because it makes her sister feel awkward. Val thinks that the way Ace acts when she’s embarrassed is funny. It also can make some people around them feel awkward, which is a bonus. She knows how much Ace hates being publically humiliated, and loves to be the reason it happens to her twin.
Her seemingly ditzy personality is actually meant to hide what she’s really like. Under the facade, Val is a very manipulative person. She will use anyone she has to if it means that she can accomplish her goals. The only person that might be excluded from that is Ace, and even then, it depends on the situation. Sometimes, she feels that she’s justified in using Ace, especially if it’s for her sister’s sake. Ace doesn’t always know what’s best for her, but Val almost always does.
That brings us to her next personality trait. She’s controlling, especially where Ace is regarded. It has more to do with her belief that her sister is too stupid to know what’s best for her, so Val just...takes over. She doesn’t mean to take away Ace’s free will, but that’s how it works out. It’s, again, not Val’s fault. Ace is delicate, and somebody needs to make her choices for her since she’s too emotional to make rational decisions.
She’s also a lot smarter than she acts. She acts stupid so that nobody expects much out of her. It also makes people believe that there’s no way she could do half of the things she does. It makes Val’s life easier when people think that she’s a complete moron. She hates hassle, and people knowing that she’s smart creates a lot of hassle for her.
Val is, besides all this, extremely lazy. She prefers to get other people to do things for her so that she doesn’t have to do anything herself. She’s not hyper or even remotely motivated and finds people that are very irritating. She also thinks of everything as a game and hates to be out-manuveured. The only thing that might convince her to stop being lazy and do things herself is if she thinks she might lose the game. Otherwise, she lets the “pawns” handle her dirty work for her. She dislikes getting her hands dirty.
Despite all this, Val is loyal and caring once she begins to view you as a person instead of a toy. She doesn’t stand for anyone she cares about being hurt, and Ace’s sense of justice kind of rubbed off on her at some point. She hates bullies and will side with whoever is getting picked on no matter what...unless it’s Hazel. She really hates Hazel and would probably help her tormentor. Other than that, she hates bullies. There has to be an exception to every rule, and Hazel is definitely the exception to Val’s honor code. She can’t stand that particular muggle...not that she’s really prejudiced.

Valeria Salvatore was born as part of a set of twins alongside of Acrezia. For the first seven years of her life, she grew up alongside of her sister happily. Then, when they were about seven, Valeria and Acrezia were in a still-unexplained accident that left Ace amnesiac. Worried about what would happen to their more delicate daughter if she ever remembered, Rafiel and Skyelore changed the “z” in her name to a “c” and sent her to live with Rafiel’s brother Jaydin and his wife Fey who had just lost their eldest son. Valeria, whose memories were intact, remained with their parents and grew up pretending to be Ace’s cousin. As small children, they learned swordsmanship alongside each other and sparred often. During one of these matches, Ace accidentally cut Val over her left eye. Val was eventually alright, but was left with a nasty scar over her left eye and hasn’t been able to see out of it since. She’s always been close to Ace, but she never really got along with Ray. Val found his dry sense of humor and sarcastic tendencies irritating, and he hated her manipulative nature. She could deal with Ray, though; he was her cousin, after all. When she was about ten, though, Ace started bringing her new friend Hazel around. Val and Hazel hated each other from the start. Hazel was the first, and only, person to play games as well as Val did; she out-maneuvered the irritated Salvatore girl at every turn. It was Val’s worst nightmare.
A year later, Ace decided to go to Hogwarts instead of the same school in Rome that Val, Ray and another older relative named Selene were going to. Annoyed and horrified when she found out that her sister had been sorted into Gryffindor, Val spent the next four years toying with the idea of transferring to Hogwarts. The final straw was when Ray, Selene and even Hazel began to talk about doing just that. Val spoke to her father and began working on transferring to Hogwarts. On the train, she avoided other people like the plague. It was never easy to deal with new people for her. They always stared at her eyepatch, and it got on her last nerve. When she finally arrived at the school, she wasn’t able to find Ace and spent a valuable chunk of her time trying to locate her flighty twin to no avail. Ace had a better sense of direction than Val, and every time the elder Salvatore twin thought she’d finally located Ace, she lost her again. It wasn’t Val’s idea of fun, but at least Hazel hadn’t yet arrived. That would’ve made everything completely unbearable, as Hazel had started dating Ray at some point without Val or Ace realizing. Thinking about it almost made Val want to puke...

Val sighed to herself, looking around at her surroundings. Everyone she’d run into so far had thought she was Ace, even though she was clearly taller. Maybe she’d charm Ace’s location out of some lonely, hopeless guy. It wouldn’t be the first time she’d done something like that...
She banished the thought almost as soon as it occurred to her. Ace would kill her if she did that; damn the girl’s scruples. Sure, Val had a strict honor code that she lived by, but there were exceptions to Val’s. Ace’s didn’t seem to have any. It could be such a hassle to deal with her s-cousin, sometimes. Val wasn’t sure why the Family Council hadn’t gone through with her suggestion to lock Ace up until she was a little more mature. Something about being inhumane...funny. They hadn’t cared about inhumanity when they took Val’s birthright away because of her eye. She didn’t bear a grudge against Ace over it, but it really irritated her when the Council tried to be caring human beings. They’d never given a damn about anything like that before.
Now that she was thinking about Ace’s future as the Head of Family, she sighed. Ace was a good person, and she was honorable, but the Council was cutthroat. Val wasn’t sure if her naive relative would be able to deal with them. Honestly, a heartless person like Selene was more suited to the task. The issue was that Selene was a traditionalist who would like to see the family shut itself off from the Wizarding world outside of Italy again. Val didn’t like politics, but she was sure that Selene’s way was a big step backwards. The only one she really could support since Ray had pulled himself out of the running was Ace...
’What a situation to be in...such a hassle,’ she thought. When Maverick landed on her shoulder, she smiled at the little bird and stroked his head with her left index finger.
“Hey, Maverick, you didn’t find Crezi either?” she asked him. Sometimes, she wondered why she talked to Maverick. It wasn’t like the ill-tempered owl could talk. He seemed almost human in some of his actions, though...such a strange creature. Then again, his personality worked well with Val’s. They were a good team...even when they couldn’t track down their quarry. It would be best if Ray never found out they were having issues with finding Ace. They were supposed to be good at tracking her; Val and Ace had a telepathic link like all twins supposedly did...
“Let’s never tell Ray about this, buddy,” Val sighed. “It’ll be our little secret.”
