Personality:
How would one even begin to describe Albus Severus Potter? You could start with the cliché lines of “he’s smart, funny, and loyal to those dear to him”, and that would all apply, but he isn’t exactly your average cliché character.
Albus Severus Potter grew up as an insecure child, as he was teased by his older brother James mercilessly back at home, and then Lily came into the picture, causing him to be the middle child. However, after a few years of schooling at Hogwarts, he has grown more comfortable with himself and more confident overall, quite largely urged by the fact that he was Sorted into Slytherin and had his brother, who is his family, shun him for a while. Following some of the traits of the Slytherin House, Albus is cunning, and know how to manipulate people using the usual methods of blackmail, occasional lying, and using his rather cute looks to get what he wants, even at the age of sixteen. However, strangely enough, he isn’t necessarily ambitious.
Albus is a calm and quiet character, not easily angered, but he knows how to hold a grudge, and even better, get a good and proper revenge. He is very protective of family and close friends, and is prone to be a selfless git when concerning them – much like his dad. In fact, he is very close to his dad, perhaps more so than both his brother and sister, and thus shares many of the same qualities as him. Al is also a thoughtful person, though he does have the self-preservation trait nearly all Slytherins share – that trait, as said before, means nothing when concerning close friends and family.
Oddly enough, because his insecurity was pushed down and sured almost completely living as a member of the Slytherin House, he has become a rather charming and flirtatious young man, though this only comes up when he recognizes the situation to do so - in other words, most of the time, as not only fills in conversations, but provides humour for others (actually, mainly for himself as he watches others get flustered).

History and Details:
It was what – five years ago now? – that Al set foot in Hogwarts for the first time. He was short, shy, and utterly afraid of his family’s reaction to the “what if!” he got Sorted into Slytherin. In fact, just minutes before boarding the train, his older brother James had teased him about getting into Slytherin, and Asp had cried that he wouldn’t, most certainly not! But his dad had told him that it didn’t matter, and that the Sorting Hat would take his choices to heart. An eventually, he landed himself in Slytherin and was proud because he knew his father was proud. However, the consequence of his Sorting was that he nearly lost the relationship he had with his brother, who raged and then ignored him for nearly a month into school before someone slapped some sense into him.
Before Hogwarts, he interacted with his siblings like any other middle child would – err, however that may be. But he has a close relationship with his dad, and back then wanted to be just like him. Now he knows that he is his own person, no matter how much the two resemble each other. With his mother he is also close, but not as much as his sister Lily, who he rather dotes upon as a big brother, and is protective of her. He is very aware, of course, that she would not stand it if he coddled her. With James, he gets along okay with, but they don’t always get along with their somewhat conflicting likes and dislikes. Albus is very friendly with Rose Weasley, having grown up with her perhaps more than his siblings because they are the same age and share a love for books and reading.

Green eyes darted left and right as he shuffled down the aisle of the bustling Hogwarts Express. The train had yet to leave King's Cross Station, and he could see hordes of parents and running children through the windows of open and empty compartments. He had lost sight of his parents and Lily, and James had already found his friends a few compartments back. He also got separated from Rose, who he had planned to sit with for the duration of the trip. Now, he was almost panicking as he recognized no one around him, his head turning to look into every compartment, and apologizing all the while as he interrupted the older students.
His wide green eyes were curtained by a fringe of actually neat black hair, but at the moment his hair was swishing a little from side to side as he lugged his trunk and his owl's cage with him. Tace, his barn owl, was cooing quietly in her cage. Where was he supposed to put his trunk? Should he just slip into an empty compartment and wait for someone to join him? What if he was alone for the entire ride? Pausing in the aisle for just a bit, he sighed as he tried to calm his thoughts and think clearly, his eyes shut tight. Opening them, he concluded that there probably weren't enough compartments to hold MORE than all the students who were attending Hogwarts - all the compartments would have at least 2 people. He hoped.
He turned into the next empty compartment, and found that he could put his trunk up above the seats. 'Alright, that makes sense.' Shifting his weight, he managed to get his trunk on the shelf, and Tace was also able to leave her cage and sit on the window ledge. He and Tace was startled to find his father grinning at him on the other side of the glass. The owl fled back to her cage as Albus began to smile again back at his dad.
“Almost lost you there for a second, Albus. I thought you were going to do a few more rounds down the aisle." Harry said. His son blushed, protesting.
“I haven't even walked down the entire length yet dad!"
“It's alright, Al. Someone will join you soon. And just so you know, Rose is just a few more compartments down. I think she was with a few girls your age...?" A sparkle joined the wise look in the older green eyes, and Albus blushed further at the implications and the joking tone.
“Stop teasing me! Oh, this is embarrassing." The boy ducked his head as Harry laughed. They both jumped when the train let loose a long whistle, and Harry grinned at his second son. It was time to go.
"Bye!" The father of three mouthed and winked at him, waving merrily at the shy child of his. Albus waved weakly back, but smiled as he saw the wink, and returned the sentiment.
"See you, Dad."
