Thaddeus Alec Fleetwood
Seventeen, Hufflepuff, Seventh
Basics:
Full Name:Thaddeus Alec Fleetwood
Nickname(s):Thad
DoB:November 11th
Sexuality:Homosexual
The Wizarding World:
Blood Status:Muggleborn
Affiliated With: Neutral and does not intend on changing that.
Wand:13 2/5 inches, dragon heartstring, ash
Appearance:
Thaddeus stands at about 5' 11", but appears taller because of his incredibly skinny appearance. He appears much more bone than muscle, and seems almost sickly on occasion. He had dark brown, nearly black hair; it falls to about his chin-line, and has a slight wave to it. He has a skinny, if not slightly skeletal looking face-- including very prominent and high cheekbones. He allows a bit of stubble to grow on his face, mostly from forgetting to shave every couple of days or so. He has very prominent eyes, though his eyes are relatively small and he keeps them squinted, since he doesn't have the best eye sight, but refuses to wear glasses. They're a light blue color, and tend to be the focal point of his face.
Face Claim:Cillian Murphy

Personality:
First things first, Thaddeus suffers from auditory schizophrenia. He doesn't see things, but he does hear voices in his head. He has the ability to decipher whether or not these voices are real, so it affects his mental health rather than his actions. For the most part, it's simply a voice that Thaddeus recognizes is in his head, who plays on his doubts. He has named the voice 'Iago', and refers to it as such. He is not vocal about his condition and hides it fairly well. He tends to mutter to himself, but plays it off as 'thinking aloud'.
Thad is a fairly intelligent man, and sometimes wishes he had argued more with the Sorting Hat in order to get sorted there. Thaddeus embodies Hufflepuff's hard-working philosophy. Once he has dedicated himself to a project, he does not rest until he's finished. He is a huge fan of Shakespeare-- has read most of his plays several times over. He prefers the tragedies to the comedies, and finds that he connects better to people when he thinks of them through Shakespearean situations.
When it comes to his condition, he is often bitter and non-responsive, having been wrapped in his own doubts and left unable to speak. However, it rarely gets that bad. On a good day, he is talkative, and engages in intelligent conversation with people he finds worth his time. While he is open about his sexuality, he is far from the cliche. He acts more asexual on occasion, and finds it difficult to truly open up to people. He finds he can get to the level of acquaintance or good friends relatively easy, but has difficulty getting past that stage.

Likes:
+ A decent plotline- no book is complete without it.
+ Shakespeare- "Nothing can come of nothing."
+ Old muggle mystery novels- "Strangers on a Train", "The Jupiter Myth", and on and on. They're all piled in stacks in his flat.
+ Antiquity- The older the better.
+ Cold- The freezing bitter cold winds of winter only brightened this man's day.
+ Glass- Oddly enough, he's obsessed with it. The fragile balance of such cold smoothness... He has a number of small glass objects that he carries around in his pockets.
+ Greek food- "Like Mexican, except less chopped up." Likes tzatziki with pita bread most of all.
+ Manners- Someone has to revive them.
+ Work- Keeps him preoccupied, for the most part, and keeps things out of his head. He works to forget instead of drinking to forget.
+ Classical Music- Preferably Bach over Beethoven.

Dislikes:
+ Water- It's for drinking and showering, but should not be on his body at any other time.
+ Travelling- He dislikes not knowing where he is or being somewhere unfamiliar.
+ Apparition- It's convenient, but extremely uncomfortable. Floo works much better, despite the heat.
+ Thai food- Too spicy, too hot, too much.
+ Drinking- Alcohol is the root of all evil, though it wont stop him from having a shot of firewhiskey. Or two.
+ Green-eyed people-" O, beware, my lord, of jealousy;
It is the green-ey'd monster, which doth mock
The meat it feeds on." - Green eyes remind him of his brother, who was not exactly the nicest person.
+ Over enthusiastic optimists- Nothing could be worse than an over cheerful ball of energy in the morning before he's had his coffee.
+ Foreign Language- He likes to be able to understand everything, and someone speaking another language is the most irritating thing imaginable.
+ Current fashion- What's wrong with the old that it has to change?
+ Perceptions- "I may be crazy, and I'm quite fine with that, actually. But the chances are that I'm more accepting of myself than you are of me and I am of you. Shame, isn't it?"

History and Details:
Life was never exactly dull in the Fleetwood home. Thad was born the middle child in a rather hectic family life. His mother did not work, and his father's work had messed him up quite badly. Perhaps that was why each of his family members were the way they were.
His father, more or less, was the unresponsive parent. He never ignored his children, but was passive to them, not really caring enough to let them into his life. He usually focused on Gawain, who was constantly getting into trouble at school when Thad was a toddler. Gawain was put on probation many times during his school days, but somehow made it through without getting expelled. Even after Gawain left the family, Gwen was already sick, and his parents attention focused mainly on her. Thad was left to deal with his own problems, mainly his issue of schizophrenia.
Thaddeus grew up reading to himself, which most likely aspired his love for novels, any kind of form of writing, and the written word. Reading was one way that he could zone out his mother screaming at Gawain during his summer holiday, or just the voice inside his head, who casually enjoyed reminding him that he was the root of the insanity in the household.
Thad's escape was Hogwarts, where he was sorted into Hufflepuff, unlike his brother, a Slytherin alumni. He was more accepted in the Hufflepuff house, though rumors soon flew that the 'weird Fleetwood boy talks to himself'. Thad has done a fairly good job at squashing such talk, mainly by spouting his own rumors about those people, hence discrediting them. However, for the most part he enjoyed the solitude provided by his inability to get very close to anyone, and used it to focus mainly on his studies. While he would much rather have been reading for his own leisure, he passed almost all his classes with flying colors, and, seeing as it seems like it could be a challenge, is currently working towards an occupation as an auror.
