Sentences, no bullets
Hair: Violet has long hair, reaching much past her shoulders. It’s a reddish brown color and is as straight as it possibly could be. This is good for Violet, it means her hair is consistent and it means that she doesn’t have to get creative with it.
Eyes: Her eyes are a light amber color and distinctly almond shaped. They always seem to have a blank cover over them, like she’s off traversing the lands in her head, which is not completely untrue. When they are actually concentrating on something, they have a harsh look to them as if they are disgruntled with whomever has dared to pull her out of her daydreams.
Face: She has been told it’s a pretty one, but she could care less. It’s a regal face, with a defined chin and striking features. A pair of glasses hides her eyes from any kind of deep scrutiny, and she wouldn’t know if they actually take away from her looks or not. As much as she says she doesn’t care, she still puts on makeup in the morning so as to fit in with everyone else.
Body, include weight and height: Violet’s figure is a slim one that could easily be mistaken for a male’s. In fact, it has been mistaken for a male’s before, but those people all received a nice hex to the face. This problem is not helped by the fact that she doesn’t wear very feminine clothing for the most part.
Face Claim: Ingrid Michaelson
Other: Her glasses are fairly thick framed and she’s fairly blind without them.
Personality:
The way that most people would describe Violet is intelligent but hostile, neither of which she can really deny. Intelligence is a very central part to her personality, she is very book smart and her pride of that makes her seem like an outlier to most people. To the people that actually dare to approach her and are judged to be stupid, she will mock them shamelessly until they leave. Whether this is a defense mechanism or whether she just hates stupidity is unclear, perhaps it’s a little bit of both.
That being said, with the people that are deemed intelligent enough to matter, Violet can be very cordial, even friendly with some of them. Of course, no one could possibly be smarter than herself in her opinion, but there are some who are her mental peers. As for actually being fun or anything like that, Violet is not the girl that you would want to party with. She completely disapproves of anything that might kill any of her precious brain cells, such as any type of alcohol.
She will not hesitate to turn any offenders to any rules into a staff member, she hates the people that think they are above the law. She is quite the supporter of harsh punishment, she believes that after one offense against the school rules one should be expelled or at least put on probation. She tends to be harsher than many of the staff members.
In her free time she is always off in the library or somewhere else conducive to reading. This is not only a way to while away her time to distract her from her own loneliness, but she is addicted to knowledge. This sounds odd, but for Violet it’s completely true. She has read most of the books in the library, and she has absorbed most of the information in those books. This is why she would not hesitate to say that she is the smartest person in Hogwarts.
Of course, with seclusion comes loneliness. Violet is constantly lonely, any person who offers friendship who is deemed intelligent will get a very needy new friend. However, it isn’t like Violet can be picky about her friends since she’s already so picky about who she talks to. Her friends could get away with anything and they’d be backed by complete loyalty from her. This makes her very easy to manipulate, and she could be a valuable resource, as she is practically a walking library.

History and Details: From the time Violet was born as the middle child in the Pierce family, it was clear to her that intelligence is valued above all other traits. Her parents were always busy with some kind of academic work, so she and her brother Thistle, who hates his name for good reason, learned to also be always busy. They got along well, but they never really had much of a childhood, they both preferred reading.
Her sister, on the other hand, is the idiot of the family. She smokes everything that could possibly be addicting, she gets horrible grades, and it’s Violet’s opinion that she doesn’t even know how to read. Iris probably does this to gain the attention of their parents, and it certainly works. Violet is very thankful that she only has to take care of her sister during the summers, preferring to simply forget about her during the year.
When her magical abilities first started appearing, it was strange things like the words on the page of a book changing order, leaving notes to Violet. She didn’t mention any of this to her parents, preferring not to look like she was insane. When the letter came, Violet thought it was a joke until the professor of Herbology came to prove to her that it wasn’t. He seemed overly impressed about her family’s choice in names, but other than that the trip wasn’t overly remarkable. She went to Diagon Alley by herself; it wasn’t that far away from her house.
Out of all the things on Diagon Alley that seemed spectacular, it was the livelihood of it all that overwhelmed her. Here she was, a young girl of only 11, being thrown completely alone into this new world. It was only natural that she hid the fact that magic existed from her parents. To this day, they think she’s going to an out of country boarding school, which isn’t completely untrue. It hasn’t been that hard to charm letters and grades and all that, they’re completely under her spell, pardon the pun.
Her years at Hogwarts have been consistent, she talks to few and is attached to few. She gets consistently perfect grades, save a few, and she goes about the same routine.
