Adrien Nikoli and Andrew Kiril Valkov were born to Andria a squib and Nikoli Valkov a wizard. Adrien and Andrew were both healthy babies(Despite the fact that Adrien is born colorblind, and the fact that they both have Porphyria). However their mother died in childbirth, because of some bad complications. The twins both have inherited a rare disease from known as Porphyria, also known as the “Vampire disease”. Their father took them to Moscow Russia a few weeks after it was safe for them to travel. The twins met their father’s brother, who took all three of them into his home, with open arms. It was clear Kiril Valkov; Nikoli’s brother would do anything for his family. The twins were relatively well behaved, and despite having the “vampire disease” they didn’t let this stop them, although they were quick to learn that the sun caused their skin to smoke(Quite litterally). It was at the age of 27 months that Adrien’s magical abilities came into play. And that was also when Andrew’s abnormal genius mind came into play. The twins were both brilliant in their own right. Their uncle and their father loved them dearly. Sure their uncle was a very rich and wealthy man; who loved his nephews very much and would do anything for them.
Andrew’s a genius. Adrien’s a wizard. They were both freaks of nature. Or so the other kids dubbed them, because they never went out into the sun, because it hurt(it could kill them and it caused their skin to start smoking, which hurt a lot) them. In fact none of the family went out during the daylight hours; they only went out at night, around dusk(When the sun had disapeared completely). They slept during the day and were active at night. Because of this, the family wasn’t much liked. They were misunderstood. Seeing as no one bothered to try and get to know them. Adrien and Andrew were homeschooled, and taught English and a few other choice languages of their choosing. Andrew was always ahead of his younger brother, and would help his brother out when the other needed it. Whenever Adrien couldn’t keep up, Andrew always explained everything in layman’s terms; however he didn’t in a way that never made Adrien feel like an idiot or some-sort of mentally delayed person. The twins were taught how to defend themselves the muggle way if need be, mainly because both uncle and father knew that magic couldn’t save you all the time, especially when you weren’t allowed to use it, or if you couldn’t because of the muggles in the area.
By the time they were both eleven, the cold harsh reality of the fact that his beloved twin brother wasn’t allowed to come with him to Hogwarts. All because his twin could see magic and see the wizarding world, but he couldn’t do magic. He’s a squib. He was mad and upset, which was completely understandable. Adrien's letter had been hand delivered by the Headmistress, who had come at night to talk to them all about arangements at Hogwarts for the twins(Even though she knew Andrew wouldn't be getting in, she humored the boys), it was mostly adult talk, which both Adrien and Andrew had stopped listening to somewhere along the middle, and had left their father and uncle and the headmistress to talk out the full details by themselves. However once Adrien's Hogwarts letter came, the boy harshly demanded to know why Andrew hadn’t gotten a letter to. Even when the four of them left to go to Diagon alley(At night), they had gotten Adrien’s school supplies, wand, and had let both 11 year olds get a pet. Andrew got a cat, called Anya. Adrien had gotten a raven called Darken. On their last night together, the twins stayed up all day, talking. When it was time to go, Adrien was dead on his feet, in fact both boys were dead on their feet, and the fact they hadn't gotten any sleep wasn't helping matters. The three out of four wizards walked to the fireplace. Kiril, Adrien’s uncle had taken his trunk through the fireplace(Adrien didn’t know his uncle had stuck something inside the trunk before they when Andrew and him were getting ready), and now the twins were left staring in awe as they watched their uncle and Adrien's trunk disappear in green flames. The three remaining males blinked in shock. "Alright, Andrew, Adrien I need you listen to me alright. When we get there. We're not going by the normal means, AKA the Hogwarts Express, we're going a different way." Nikoli explained, before he explained to the twins on what to do and how to use the floo powder. Nikoli went last after both sons disappeared together(Via holding hands). Andrew and Adrien were stairing in awe at the room they were in inside of Hogwarts, which currently had it's blinds closed because of their arrival. After the four had spent the majorty of the day talking to the headmistress and spending some well deserved time together. It was time the two wizards and the squib to leave. Andrew threw an arm around Adrien’s shoulders. “Listen to me, Adrien. Just cause I can’t go doesn’t mean you shouldn’t get an education at Hogwarts. You possess magic, and therefore should learn how to control it properly, understand? Go, study, make some friends for a change and owl me every day if it’s possible. Remember Uncle Kiril and our father went to Hogwarts as well when they was your age. Plus this school, this room, looks amazing! You have got to tell me all about it when you explore it!” He said with enthusasm. Adrien looked at his brother and frowned. He didn’t like the idea of being away from his brother and his family for such a long time. In fact he looked like he had changed his mind and just wanted to go home. “Don’t you dare say you changed your mind!” Andrew's pine green eyes narrowed as he warned his brother, already knowing what his brother was thinking. Slowly but surely Adrien managed to give his twin brother a smile. "Alright. But if I don't like it when Christmas break comes around. I'm never coming back here again..." He muttered in defeat. After the family had said goodbye, Nikoli and Andrew disappeared through the fireplace. Kiril whispered something to his nephew's ear as he hugged him goodbye and flooed away back home as well. Leaving the wizard dumbfounded as he stood there staring at the fireplace in shock, not quite sure what to do next.
The sorting ceremony had been interesting to say the least. He had been very attentive when the hat was sorting people and names were being called. When it was finally his turn, he had gotten up and walked over to the three-legged stool and had the hat placed on his head. After what seemed like an eternty of the hat's careless mumblings and picking through his brain. The hat finally yelled out. "Hufflepuff!" Adrien was completely furious and confused. Why was he sorted in Hufflepuff?! What the hell was a Hufflepuff anyway? He heard clapping and cheering from his fellow housemates and bit back a sigh as he made his way over to the table, taking a seat when one of his housemates had moved over to make room for him.
Adrien had sent his twin brother a letter on his first night of Hogwarts. He told Andrew what he had found in his trunk, an Invisibility cloak(How their uncle came into possession of the cloak was something they never figured out.), he also told his twin what he thought about the houses and the animals repersenting them. How he thought Gryffindor should of been repersented by a gryffin not a lion. Slytherin was a snake, obviously, at least that one accurally fit. Ravenclaw should of been repersented by a raven not an eagle. Hufflepuff was repersented by a badger, but he thought that Hufflepuff should have been repersented by a Pygmy Puff. And so many other things, like a detailed description of the castle and all the rooms he had gotten to see so far. He ended the letter with "I'll owl you soon, Andrew." And left it at that.
Over the summer, Adrien had someone to look forward to in coming home for the summer, winter and Easter holidays. He got to see his twin brother Andrew and that was great. Although he had to be a bit sneaky when his roommates and friends got suspious on just how[] he got home without riding on the Hogwarts Express. No he always floo home from the Headmistress's or from the Hufflepuff fireplace with the head of the house there to bid him fairwell. Once he got out of the fireplace he would tackle-hug his twin shamelessly. No he had no shame, at least not when it meant seeing his brother after 10 months of not seeing him. Andrew never protested or said anything about the show of affection, so Adrien figured it was fine. Plus Andrew was always waiting by the fireplace whenever Adrien said he would be returning home. It was on their birthday that things turned sour. Adrien and Andrew were walking down the street at night, after a day of celebrating their 17th birthday. It had been their right of way, and there had been no cars, when all of a sudden, they were in the middle of the crosswalk, when a car came speeding down the road, and would of hit Adrien(Because he was too busy looking at his brother while he was speaking.), if it hadn’t been for Andrew’s quick reflexes, the male had thrown Adrien out of the way, and had gotten hit by the car, leaving Adrien to watch and witness what had happened. It had been a hit and run! The wizard leaped to his feet and screamed out his brother’s name, before he rushed to his brother, kneeling beside his brother, fighting off the urge to grab him and whisper that everything would be alright. That he was fine. That he wasn’t going to die. His numb and shaking fingers searched franticly for a pulse. While he was searching for a pulse, he was screaming at the stupid gawking muggles to call a fucking ambulance. A few minutes later, Andrew was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. Adrien appeared in front of the hospital by apparating. He didn’t give a shit if he didn’t pass the apparating test yet. The ministry be damned, this was a matter of life and death! His brother’s life was far more important than any punishment the ministry could give him! He was seven-fucking-teen; he was allowed to use magic now. He waited in the waiting room, pacing and muttering several strings of curses under his breath, all the while bitter tears were flowing down his pale cheeks. He answered all the questions the doctors had asked. Adrien was disgusted with the doctors, as they didn’t do anything! They were bugging him for information when they could have used their time to save his brother! Instead of asking him stupid questions about what happened and wanting to know all the details about what happened to his brother! Like fucking idiots who wanted a fucking story of how his brother fucking died! He was furious and with his emotions running on an all-time high, he was broken and crying hysterically. He was completely hysterical. He had been sedated, forced into unconsciousness, which instead of a blissful dreamless sleep, he had been sent into a horrible nightmare, about what happened hours ago… By the time he had woken up again, he found himself in the room he shared with his twin brother. Adrien was pissed off. He was still furious and horribly upset. That much was clear. The Russian had lost his dearest friend and beloved brother. That was one hell of a shock to live through, especially if you’re the one who freaking witnessed the horrible hit and run! It’s worse than simply being told. Because seeing it makes things all the more surreal and horrible and downright frustrating! It made finding the will to live hard.

Adrien glared at his father and uncle. He couldn’t believe this. He just couldn’t! He refused to believe it. They wanted him to go back to Hogwarts! He had already told them he hadn’t wanted to go! There was no fucking reason for him to go back there! Nonewhatsoever! So why, why were his father and uncle urging him to go back. Did they think that hanging around with his friends, people who probably hadn't had to deal with loss, would make him feel better? Did they think that just because he had stopped trying to go out into the sun and burn himself to death, that he had stopped mourning over his brother? That he was fine and perfectly sane? Just because he wasn't doing any shit anymore? Whoever made that reasoning should be shot!
