Christopher Cedric McLaggen
Sixteen, Ravenclaw, Sixth Year.
Basics:
Full Name:
Christopher Cedric McLaggen.
Nickname(s):
Chris, Topher.
DoB:
August 17, 2006.
Sexuality:
Heterosexual.
The Wizarding World:
Blood Status:
Half-blood.
Affiliated With:
Neutral. He's rather apathetic about the whole thing.
Wand:
Twelve inches, hawthorn, unicorn hair core, and inflexible.
Appearance:
Hair:
On the short side. Color is a dark brown. Prefers the Muggle style coined 'mohawk', finds it increases the interests of the ladies.
Eyes:
Chris has almond-shaped eyes. Coloring is brown. They're criticizing and perfect for spotting Bludgers.
Face:
He has an oval-shaped face and a sharp, defined jawline. Always clean-shaven, doesn't feel the stubble look.
Body:
Chris has broad shoulders and a muscular build due to Quidditch. He's 6'1" and about 175 pounds. Quite the stud he believes.
Face Claim:
Mark
Other:
- He's quite vain.
- Named after Cedric Diggory, deceased.
Personality:
Chris is a bit hard to befriend. He's sarcastic, snarky, apathetic, egotistical, and pretentious. It's best if one is on the same page with him. He's not one to boast aloud, unless given the opportunity. Marks and Quidditch are two subjects he excels at; he's easily agreeable to discuss those topics. Otherwise, he fades into the woodworking. /It's most comfortable for him/.
However, Firewhiskey seems to have an odd effect on him. As he has discovered, he can be pulled off the wall and into the heart of the many parties found in the Ravenclaw Common Room, interestingly enough. He's loose and talkative, friendly and benign, anything but sarcastic essentially. An 180 degree turn, if you will.
Just don't expect much from him -- his priorities lie with Quidditch and schoolwork, and certain dames if they come across his path. Being a friend is lower on the list. Some things he takes for granted, which burns quite a few bridges. An interesting lifestyle choice, yes. /It's most comfortable for him/.

Likes:
- Quidditch (raised in the atmosphere. it's fun.)
- Mirrors (got to keep up vain appearances.)
- Girls (feed his ego. entertaining.)
- Compliments/Flattery (also feed his ego and vainness.)
- Being Pretentious (part of his personality.)
- Pot pie (oh so very delicious.)
- Honeydukes (has a bit of a sweet tooth.)
- Friendly Rivalries (it's all in good fun.)
- Studying (tries not to let it show.)
- The smell of new parchment (a beautiful smell indeed.)
Dislikes:
- Poor marks (depressing as a Ravenclaw.)
- Empathy (expressing emotion is overrated.)
- Snow (a pest, annoying, painful.)
- When Quidditch is canceled (even more depressing.)
- Spineless books (those poor books...)
- Overly nice people (extremely annoying.)
- Petty arguments (why argue over trivial things?)
- Pumpkin juice (tastes disgusting in his opinion.)
- Being bored (a given, he supposes.)
- Not being invited to parties (studying isn't everything.)
Family:
Mother:
Cho Chang, witch, Quidditch star.
Father:
Cormac McLaggen, wizard, Quidditch star.
Siblings:
(If needed in a subplot.)
Others (list):
Those of Chang and McLaggen descent.
Christopher McLaggen's childhood had comprised mainly of Quidditch, from receiving his first broomstick to cheering on his parents at a young age. Cormac and Cho were dedicated players, though his mother took off a couple seasons to raise him. The money was more than decent, as well as the large house they possessed. To say the least, Chris was well taken care of. Perhaps he didn't see them as often as he wanted, but he had enough toys and trinkets to keep him entertained.
As his personality developed, so did the realization that it was similar to that of his father's. Not that it was disconcerting or anything. Just an observation. But he also seemed to have inherited his mother's brilliance. It was a healthy mix. Natural Quidditch ability was expected as well.
Being Sorted into Ravenclaw and eventually gaining a spot on the team did wonders for his reputation. Only in his later years did he discover the excitement of parties and illicit drinks to indulge in.
His exceptional OWL marks didn't really faze him. They would probably go to waste if he considered the Quidditch route, the one his parents took. The decision was his and quite difficult to make. Chris had a couple of years to decide; that was a lot of thinking to do.

"First name basis? Quite an upgrade, I'd say," James replied, comtemplating taking the seat across from her. Honey the evil cat/kitten thing, whatever the bloody hell it was, was already occupying the seat next to Lauren. No matter. Casually, James took out his wand. He figured she often forgot about the healing powers of magic.
"Episkey," he recited astutely, aiming the perfect spell toward her papercutted finger. The skin healed quickly over the cut. "Good thing I'm going to be a Healer. I just saved your life."
James smirked. "Guess what, babe, I'm just as much a Head Boy to Gryffindor as you are Head Girl of Slytherin." He pointed to his badge as proof, but the train lurched forward suddenly, causing Lauren to clench his arm since she had gotten up to act all tough to him.
James helped her regain her balance before going over to pick up her thrown book. He instantly grimaced at the cover.
"You read this rubbish?" he exclaimed, utterly disgusted. "Lily does too, and it's all she talks about now. Edward this, Bella that; it's revolting, actually."
He handed it back. "Oh, so you know then that Edward proposes to Bella? And she accepts? Lily shrieked with delight on that one."
James shrugged, taking the seat across from her. "Anyway, I'm more interesting than any book you'll read, Lauren."
