Personality:
2 paragraphs minimum
Zoe has always been known for being "one of the guys". From her first year onwards, she has tended to scorn female company slightly, as she has never been interested in any of their feminine qualities and personalities. Due to the vast majority of her friends being guys, she has developed a tough exterior, which had already been cultivated by her childhood. She tends to enjoy more athletic pursuits and is unaffected by any of the 'rude' comments made by her male friends, as she is used to them, and appreciates how candid they are around her.
Zoe has never truly cared for impressing anyone or finding love, saying that her only love in life is Quiddich. However, she does occasionally feel slightly lonely, as her relationship with her fellow Hufflepuffs is tenuous at best. She has the ability to be slightly overbearing and agressive on occasion, especially when aggravated or cranky.
However, she posesses many qualities that redeem her. She is fiercely loyal and defensive of the people she cares about, sometimes leading to consequences such as Detention, where she jokes that she has her own seat. She loves pranking, especially with James, and would do anything for a good laugh or to get a laugh out of someone else. Although she can be untrusting, if she trusts you, she is exceedingly kind and sweet the vast majority of the time.

History and Details: 2 paragraphs minimum
At approximately 3:21 AM on January 24th, 2005, deeply entrenched in the depths of the Monday morning, a gunshot was heard outside Chicago Memorial Hospital, hidden within the shadier part of the large city. Interestingly enough, at 3:22 AM, to the sounds of sirens and screams, Olivia Thompson & Gerald Thompson became parents to their first and only child, Zoe, who was named for Olivia's aunt. She was born healthy, and was quickly rushed home to make room for the other expecting mothers.
Olivia's earliest memories comprise of sitting in her room on Walton Way, struggling with a picture book while her parents argued downstairs. Their fights turned violent on occasion, but never involved her, although she was usually locked in her room when they occurred. Her preschool teacher had bought her a soccer ball as a birthday gift, and she would kick it around in her room, wishing desperately for somewhere and someone to play with.
She grew older to the sounds of broken glass and sobs, living through nights as a seven year old when one of her parents or both of them would never arrive home. She quickly learned to cook and to fend for herself, but it became worse when her parents were home. As they would fight and throw things, she would sneak out the window and down the drainpipe, for the dubious joy of getting stoned with her friends, or getting a new tattoo--she received her first one on the Chicago streets at the age of eight. Finally, one night, as she slept, her mother came into her room, whispering that the two of them needed to leave. She was scared, shaking as she packed her bags, but she never looked back after they left the house.
Her mother had flown them to Manchester, England, where they took up residence at Zoe's grandparents' house. Enrolled in a local school, Zoe underperformed, mostly due to boredom, but entertained herself with afterschool sports, which gave her almost starlike qualities at her school. She missed Chicago and her father, but tried to hide those emotions from her mother so that she would never know. Her mother had saved them, she understood, but she didn't really want to know or find out from what she had been saved.
When her Hogwarts letter came, she was sitting on the porch of her grandparents' house, drinking iced tea and reading a book from school. The chubby barn owl had flailed its way over to her, clutching the letter that she took carefully from its grasp. Upon reading its contents, she laughed, thinking that it was some sort of a joke. Hiding it from her family, she kept it in her room, reading it over and over again until she convinced herself that it had to be true, that it was really happening.
Her family didn't understand, of course, or at least, she believed they wouldn't, so she bent the truth, telling them that she had won a scholarship to attend a school in London, and that she would be leaving them soon to embrace the opportunity. She met a Professor outside her house the next day, and the two went to Diagon Alley to buy her robes and wand, and from that moment on, she was a witch.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts, she felt alone. Many of the students knew all about magic and Hogwarts, whereas she was a stranger. Luckily, she excelled quickly in her flying classes, gaining her respect and friendship. She was "drafted" to be the Seeker of her team, after showing fabulous speed and talent, and with her borrowed broom, became known as one of the best female Seekers that Hogwarts had ever seen. School was truly a place where she belonged, although a part of her yearned constantly for her mother, and for her father and Walton Way.
It had to be stifled, though, it was getting in the way of bigger and better things.
