DE's: Main Plot, the Diary

Hello my little Death Eaters =) Sooo I've been thinking, and it's time to start getting more involved with specifics on our plot. In the plot thread of this forum, a diary is mentioned that has a bunch of DE secrets and situations and memories and whatever. It's also mentioned in Aspen's personality section.

So since we wanna keep the plot juicy now, but Aspen already knows about the diary...I think that the year before, or whenever Aspen overhears them talking about the diary, the DE's only knew OF the diary at the time, but they didn't have it in their possession. Someone had overheard their parents discussing it, so they went and told the Hogwarts branch of the DE's, and Aspen overheard.

But this past summer, summer of 2022, right before this school year...one of our DE's actually finds this diary and brings it to Hogwarts. They see it as a little bit of history and heritage...as a motivation to push the DE's into absolute power over Hogwarts and bring back their old ideas. This diary is the source of the specifics on these ideas, and like I said, motivation to bring themselves to power.

So we need to discuss...which DE finds the diary at home (whose diary was it initially?). What will they do when they all read the diary, and what exactly is in it? What specific plans do the DE's have to bring back their old ideas and views to power?

Let me know what you guys think and if you have any ideas on this. This subplot is gonna get a little bit complicated and definitely involved, so I really want/need all of your input on it so everyone's happy with it.

Subplot: After the diary is brought to the school, and they create the neoDE group, they try to recruit students and find out that the Potters (all? or just Albus?) are Parselmouths (catching Albus speaking to a snake), and try to influence them because...well, the DE ideals! Moldyshorts who talks to snakes! The symbol of Slytherin-ness!

It's a good idea, but I think just Albus should be involved in this one instead of all the Potters, since being a Parselmouth is so rare. Plus Albus can have his own little subplot xD

The DE's would definitely want to influence Albus most out of the three of them because even though he's technically part of the Order, he's also in Slytherin so he hears all different kinds of things from the variety of people he associates with.

There's gonna be a bunch of different factors pulling out undecided characters one way or another. I think right now we have Aspen, Scorpius, and Grayson, and then Albus will also be influenced by the DE's. It's gonna be really fun to see what happens to Aspen, Scorpius, and Albus's little group...it wouldn't be dramatic if they all joined the same side

Alright, so just Albus. YES my own little subplot~!

But they won't get anywhere because he is already pretty firm with the Order, its just that the DEs don't know this. They still think he is neutral.

On that note, only his (close) family knows that he (is with) supports the Order. I don't believe that Scorpius or Aspen would know, because then that would risk his position as potential recruitment.

I really don't want to think about Harry sending his own son off to spy on the DEs. But it really is happening...just a bit, since Albus has yet to be approached, and has no plan on wanting to join them.

While the DEs may try to influence Al quite a bit, it wouldn't be as effective if he was pureblood, or say (though I can't see this happening, ever) abused/maltreated by family. I don't know if the DEs would know this, or they are just trying to recruit him because of his Parselmouth abilities or that he is a Potter in Slytherin.

Did you have plans for Scorpius already? Would it coincide or affect Albus majorly? xDDD That was basically me asking you if you planned him on one side already. If its important (now that we've cleared the relationships, esp. Al/Scor) but you don't want to reveal anything, send a PM.

I think that we could make it dramatic that they all join the same side, whatever side they happen to join (spy theory again), because they could all have different reasons. For example, pressure, fear, spying (again xD), boredom, actually wanting to even with past history examples of failure, etc. Boredom could work too.

My little rant is concluded. Share with me your thoughts on this.

I already PMed you about Scorpius so that's all cleared up. We'll just have to see where everyone ends up. Other than that, it sounds good to me!

DIANA, QUIN, SHAYNE, ARIA:
We need to figure out which one of us found the diary. It's really important and I think we should bring it up on the train so we should probably figure this out soon.....

It really doesn't matter who. If no one else wants it, Diana could, but I don't particular want/not want her to have it. Besides her, I think Shayne or Quin would be more likely than Aria, just because they're from the older Death Eater families like Lestrange and Zabini...I don't remember an important Death Eater called Avier in the books, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Let me know what you guys think about this, sooner than later please.

I thought it was Aspen...? Maybe I'm just really confused.

Between Zabini and Lestrange, the latter is more likely because Zabini was only ever mentioned as a student, and was never heard of (I don't think) as a Death Eater. Lestrange we all know. This is just my opinion - whoever wants it would get it, I suppose.

No Aspen saw and heard them talking about the diary. And yeah interesting subplot for Al. And yes Shayne or Zabini should have/find the diary.

Hmm, I agree. Lestrange and Dolohov are definitely the best well known out of the two.

It'd probably be more believable if Shayne found the diary. Quin would most likely have to be informed about it. His father wasn't technically a Death Eater, just a sympathizer.

Your 'Hehe' was the most evil laugh I have ever read. No, I'm Sirius, it is. ;; Uwahhh~ I think that just creeped me out. xDDDD

I definitely can't even picture Shayne saying 'hehe'.

Once we do a time jump in this compartment, we should either:

1. Have Shayne bring out the diary and talk about that (not sure if it's really a good idea to bring it out right there on the train, so maybe: )

2. Have Shayne tell them he has it, or has something to show them, and they all meet somewhere that night to look at/discuss it and such.

Have them talk about it in the carriages on the way to Hogwarts, or when they're in their dorms/Common Room, and then pass on the message to Quin, other Houses, and other Years in the Great Hall or during a class.

And this is where I think we may actually need a class or two so we have a proper setting if they need to chat or learn spells they would be using (against each other HAH).

I think the 4 of them are kind of the "leaders" of this whole thing, and once we get more DE's they'll add on to the general group of them. Maybe they'll talk about in their compartment or in the carriages, and then the Slytherins will talk about meeting secretly to discuss while in the Common Room, and Diana can Enchanted Parchment Quin about the exact meeting time/place once they decide. Then later that week they'll spread the word during classes and in the Great Hall. But I think it's important for the first little diary meeting that the 4 of them do it in secret, somewhere private.

Carriages would be best, since no one drives the Thestrals, and there are no interruption. And it fits the four students, of course. xD Not like they're going to row a little boat across the Black Lake...xD
