Go ahead and role-play yourself into the compartment if you belong here...you can start role-playing once everyone in this scene is here.

Diana stood tall and proud as she walked along the platform to get onto the train. She didn't speak to anyone; most people had already found their compartments. She noticed there were a lot of Mudbloods walking around with their confused-looking Muggle parents. It was revolting to her, seeing Muggles walking around a Wizard platform. It was so clear that they didn't belong.
She turned away and boarded the train, trying to just ignore it. She was above them, and didn't have to deal with them, thankfully. She walked down the aisle, tucking some of her long blonde hair behind her left ear. She saw many compartments that had plenty of room for more people, but no one that she wanted to sit with...in fact, there were a lot of compartments that she would rather sit in the aisle alone for the train ride than sit in. She passed a few Slytherin compartments that she wouldn't have minded sitting in, but preferred an empty one near the end of the train, hoping that some of her closer friends, Death Eaters obviously, would find her and join her. Diana never settled for less; why would she sit in a compartment that was just tolerable, when she could make her own compartment with people she actually wanted to sit with?
She sat down in her compartment in one of the window seats, looking outside at the people on the platform who hadn't boarded yet, and waited.

Quinlan Zabini had boarded the scarlet steam locomotive almost immediately upon his arrival to Platform 9 3/4's. With no parent or guardian to hold him up-- with their incessant worrying and wishing well, he would have been stuck muttering polite reassurances. Not that if his father had been there he would have acted worried at all.
He strolled down the train from car to car, making formal greetings to those he knew. Mostly Ravenclaw and Slytherin students, though there were certainly a few Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs who caught his attention, though the number was far fewer.
"Zabini!" The voice of another boy called over the overlying noise of the train-- baggage shifting, greetings being called-- causing Quin to turn. A wide grin broke out, causing his eyes to squint slightly as he greeted the other boy.
"Ah Miles. How are you? How was the rest of your summer?"
"Not bad. I wanted to thank you for stopping by over the break My dad just kept saying what a great guy you were." The boy said, laughing genuinely, and looking slightly embarrassed. "He said to make sure you stopped by during the winter break as well."
Quin nodded, laughing along with the boy, though he didn't find his words amusing at all. The boy-- Miles-- was the oldest son of the Head of the Improper Use of Magic Office at the Ministry. He was a great connection to make for the future. It was all about the connections.
"Of course, Miles. Be sure to tell him it would be my pleasure." He said with an even wider smile, reaching out to grab the boys hand and give it a firm shake. "You have my word..."
The boy smiled, and quickly gave a quick excuse-- something about meeting up with friends or something like that. Quin nodded in agreement, and waved him off politely, turning and continuing down the train. He paused at a few compartments, noting one filled with sixth year Slytherins. He considered joining that compartment for a moment, but thought better of it, as most of them seemed--- he struggled to think of the correct word for it--- anxious.
He soon found another compartment, smiling when he saw who was sitting at a window seat.
"Ah, Miss Dolohov, it's been a long summer not seeing you." He spoke as he pulled open the sliding door to the compartment, slipping in with a wide, and surprisingly genuine smile. Diana perhaps one of his closest friends at Hogwarts, though his outwardly polite nature still had him call her by her last name upon greeting. He slipped into the window seat across from her after loading his luggage into the rack above him. Raising a brow as he glanced at her, he asked, "I take it your summer was as uneventful as mine?"

Diana had been gazing out the window for minutes now, completely absorbed in her thoughts. She was slightly started when she heard someone entering the compartment. Looking over towards the door, she smiled at the person who was entering.
"Quin! It's so good to see you, how is it possible that we didn't see each other all summer? Mine was okay, boring as always but whatever," she said as he sat across from her. She tucked her hair behind her ear again, considering just putting it up because it was annoying her, and sat up straight. "How was yours?"
Quin was one of her closest friends, even though he was in Ravenclaw and she was in Slytherin. They had known each other for years, and he was involved with her and the other Death Eaters. They were on the same side and they both came from an old Pureblood family that had been supporting the Death Eaters for generations. She'd missed him over the summer.

Quin shrugged apologetically, leaning back in his seat and waving a hand dismissively. "It seemed like a rather short break this year, did it not?"
He had been meaning to visit Diana-- perhaps surprise her with a visit-- but the summer had been rather busy. "The usual-- Grandmother's dinner parties, avoiding my father. Oh, and I stopped by the Miles' residence."he said, giving her a quick wink. She knew his ways, and would probably get a good laugh at his summer activities. "I would have stopped by, but I knew I would be seeing you soon enough once we got back to Hogwarts."
He had missed her quite badly over the summer, that much was true, but there had been important things to take care of over the summer as well. He had seen a marked increase in new supporters for the 'Pureblood Cause', and had grown slightly anxious by the realization--- not, of course, because he did not support it himself. But other things worried him.

Diana shook her head. "No, I thought it felt way too long," she told him, thinking back to her summer that seemed to drag on. It was her last summer before Hogwarts; she'd be on her own for the summers after. "Maybe it's because my mother has been driving me completely up a wall. I was almost relieved to say goodbye to her at the station a little while ago...it's gotten annoying," she explained.
It wasn't that she was annoyed at her mother for missing her or being proud of her...but she'd been going on about it all summer, and frankly, the topic was getting quite old in Diana's opinion.
Diana rolled her eyes at Quin's next words. "You and your connections," she said, but smiled. Quin was always up to something when it comes to that; meeting important people, to get a leg up in the future. It wasn't actually a bad idea, but Diana just never bothered with that. She preferred to make her own way, though some connections would probably help. Not that she needed them; at the rate Quin was going, all Diana would have to do is say his name, and she'd be set. He would become one of those good connections himself, she was sure, and it wouldn't take him long.
"And I get it, Quin. Connections are more important than your own friends. I understand completely," she teased. She wasn't entirely sure what she would've done if Quin had shown up to visit her over the summer.

"Mothers will be mothers after all."
Quin smiled knowingly, though he didn't know much about mothers from personal experience. He hadn't known his mother--- his grandmother had sort of filled that void in all the slightly annoying aspects. But she had done what she had to. His father's girlfriends weren't much better, so he tended to just be polite and ignore them when possible.
When she began to tease him, he rolled his eyes, letting out a chuckle. "Oh stop. You know that's hardly ever true. I'd only pass up an opportunity to spend time with you for someone like the Minister of Magic himself." He gave her a playful look, leaning in a bit closer. "You know me better than that."
Glancing toward the door, he wondered out-loud, "I wonder where everyone is. Did you see anyone during the summer? Lestrange perhaps...?" he asked, fishing slightly. He knew that Shayne Lestrange on occasion flirted with his dear friend, and there were points that this slightly angered him. It were times like these that he had to remind himself that in this day and age--- especially with the people he chose to associate himself with-- emotional connections were something he would do better without. "I was surprised not to hear from him this summer," he lied, "that's why I'm asking." He let out a quick smile, her cue not to think too much of what he just said.

"I suppose Miles' father must be pretty damn important then, considering the fact that you visited him and not me," she went on, sounding serious but her clear blue eyes were playful. It was true; she did know Quin better than what she had suggested before. He was one of the few people she knew that knew what he wanted and would do whatever it took to get there. She couldn't say as much for most people, and she respected Quin for that. But still, he had implied that he was so busy with making his connections that he didn't have a single spare day to visit her, which Diana supposed only sounded weird to her personally because she had so much free time over the summer.
She had been wondering the same thing Quin had; where was everyone? "I was in touch with Shayne every once in a while; just in writing, we didn't see each other. I didn't see Aria either, which was sort of unusual since we're so close," she said. "Then again, I thought you and I were close, but apparently I was wrong about that, too," she said, smirking. Diana tried to hold in her laughter. Since she hadn't seen Aria or Quin, and Quin said he hadn't seen Shayne, Diana assumed that out of the four of them in their group, none of them had gotten together over the summer. This almost bothered her; it was the summer before their seventh year, and none of them had seen their friends? She supposed they all had their own events going on in their lives, but still.

He made his way through the train, heading towards the prefects compartment. He had received the shiny emerald badge by owl along with his book list for that year. He wasn’t surprised to be given the position. He just saw it as his right, claiming what was owed to him and rightfully his. He couldn’t help feeling proud in the fact that he had surpassed his father’s achievements in his school years. There was still a long way to go in regards to the Death Eaters, but that was on Shayne’s list for this year. He intended to be remembered, if that was the correct word. He wanted to be a living legend like the Dark Lord himself once was. No matter who you talked to, they had all known his name and that’s how Shayne wanted his name to be known. Hogwarts was just the starting point, a small fish in the large pond that was the wizarding world. But of course, you had to start small, just as they had done all those years ago. But things would be slightly different this time, improvements had to be made to avoid past mistakes. Tiny improvements with dramatic consequences. All that was required was a little push and Shayne believed he had the means to do it: in the back pocket of his black jeans.
He had no intention of spending the whole train journey pretending to be civil to the prefects. They were below him, not worthy of interaction, well, most of them that referred to. He walked into the compartment, exchanging pleasantries with the Head Girl, before picking up his instructions. Not all of the prefects were even there yet. He sighed in annoyance. Some people had absolutely no idea about the importance of good time keeping. Punctuality was essential in keeping a tight ship. He passed on instructions to the few prefects who had had the decency to turn up on time, before leaving the Head Girl to it. The prefects had seemed like a reasonable bunch, apart from the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, oh and the occasional Ravenclaw. So let me rephrase that, the Slytherin prefects seemed like a reasonable bunch. He was particularly interested in seeing the sixth year prefects, but he had grown tired of waiting.
As he made his way down the train, he passed several compartments filled with excitable first years, giggling girls and other compartments filled with the oddest mixtures of characters. It was difficult to suppress the urge to storm into some of the first year compartments and let them know who was in charge...but of course there would be time for that when the train arrived at Hogwarts. In fact, he had the whole year to let them know, no rush or anything. There were some second years loitering in the corridor, trying to decide which compartment was their favourite. They weren’t even worth a second of his time, but he couldn’t help paying attention to them since they were blocking the way. He cleared his throat, causing them to turn around simultaneously and then scatter into the left side compartment. Shayne chuckled to himself before continuing his journey through the train, searching for either an empty compartment or one containing his friends or close acquaintances.
He spotted both of his brothers lounging around in a compartment they had managed to procure for themselves, no doubt having taken in from some unsuspecting lower years. The Lestrange boys all led separate lives within the walls of Hogwarts. They were all their own people, each totally different, but identically similar at the same time. He nodded to acknowledge that he had seen them before walking on. He came to a stop outside the door to a familiar compartment, the one which they had occupied in their first, third, fifth and now it seemed, seventh year. He smiled slightly as he saw Diana, before sliding open the door to the compartment and it’s other occupant was revealed. Quinlan Zabini. He paused slightly, making eye contact before sliding the door closed and settling into the nearest seat, placing his feet up as per usual. “Morning minions.”

"Well you know how it is, Diana."
He sighed, giving a small shrug. He knew she was just joking with him, but it did bother him a bit-- not that he'd show it. His summer had been busy. His grandmother's social events revolved around the summer, and he was always included-- because 'Oh, don't I want to show off my charming little kitten,' as she would always tell him. The rest of the summer was spent pursuing his own personal connections-- and what was left of that, he was studying. He wasn't naturally a incredible student, and liked to get ahead. Still, he could have found time to visit Diana.
"I suppose they were all busy, don't you?" It made him feel a bit better than she hadn't seen anyone-- especially Shayne or Aria. He did suspect that they must have been busy. Her not seeing anyone though was a bit suspicious-- surely something had to have happened during the summer. He didn't say anything though.
He did notice as the door slid open and Shayne entered. He rolled his eyes at his comment, eying Diana jokingly and saying, "Speak of the devil and he will come." He was partially annoyed by Shayne's comment, but decided to say anything about it. It was better they didn't start off fighting before the school year had officially started. Quin was a bit jealous, though he'd never make it known to Shayne. He would have wanted the Head Boy position, but had asked not to be considered at the end of the year before. He felt that the position and it's responsibilities would have gotten in the way of his own personal goals for the year. It was going to be a very challenging year, and having the extra responsibility would have just been a nuisance. Still, the idea of that power would have been rather lovely.

"Yes, I suppose we all were busy with our own things, but it's still a shame that none of us saw each other," she said. But Diana had never been one to dwell on the past. She wasn't going to worry herself with what had or had not happened over the summer, because summer was over. "Whatever, summer's over now, so it doesn't matter anyway," she told him, dropping the subject.
At that time, Shayne came into the compartment and sat down. "He's the devil alright, and I'm sure he'd be disappointed if we referred to him as anything else," she laughed. "How are you, Shayne? It's been a while," she said, turning towards him.
She noticed he was slightly separated from her and Quin; they were sitting across from each other by the windows, and Shayne was in the seat closest to the door with his feet up, leaving one full seat on either side between him and the other two. There had always been a bit of tension between Quin and Shayne, but Diana mostly tried not to get involved with that. It wasn't that they weren't friends - they were, and they were both in the same little group along with Diana and Aria - but they did have their little issues every once in a while. Diana wasn't sure if that was simply due to conflicting personalities, or the feeling of competition.

Aria had already made her way onto the train, she had known she was late, and she blamed her mother and her older brother for that, as Adrien had decided to tease her, which got him a punch to the shoulder, and a scolding from their which had been directed at both of them. Her because she had punched Adrien, and him because his teasing her. Not that she really minded her brother's teasing, but it did get old after a while. And today was no exception.
Once the young woman was on the train, she had made her way through the train, past the compartments filled with annoying first years and giddy second years and those who were calmer, those who were in their higher years. Aria kept walking, her head held high, as she glanced at the compartments, looking for her friends. Luckily for her it didn't take her long to find them. Her mother had wanted her and Adrien to spend time together with her, so that's one of the reasons why she couldn't go out and see her friends. The other reason is because she got grounded for fighting with her brother, and this was a full blown fight, with some magic and misfired spells involved.
She smirked softly to herself as she walked up to the door and slide the door open. "Wow, I must really be late, if you all have beaten me here." She said with a small sincere laugh, as she closed the compartment door and took a seat next to(Which ever seat is available.). "I'm sorry I didn't get to see you, Diana. The big ogre got me grounded for half the summer, and my mom wanted us, Adrien and I to spend time with her, so I couldn't see any of you over the summer." She responded as she frowned slightly. "So are you guys excited about our last year here? Are we gonna go out with a bang, like we planned to?" She questioned, eager to get the plan moving.

He laughed as he settled into his seat, watching them observe the space he had left. He was a fan of personal space. It was like an unspoken rule, why purposely sit next to each other when there was a perfectly good seat which didn’t encroach upon anyone’s personal space boundaries. Personal space he was very particular about. The only exception to this rule were certain people, to remain nameless for now. He would have sat down opposite Diana, in his usual seat, but seeing as though it was occupied at that present time, he had settled for second best. Either way, he would have put his feet up on the seat, which he had done. He just smiled at the various reactions to his greeting. With Diana’s words, he turned his attention to her before answering, “rather pleasant, but extremely busy. Mother had us tidying out father’s old things which he had stored in the cellar”. He made no mention of the tiny book in his back pocket. Now was not the time. Not the time to reveal what his endeavours had discovered. Maybe later, but most definitely not now. “Oh and apologies for failing to arrange a get together...” he drawled, his head turning as he heard the door slide open.
Miss Avier had arrived and was already talking, as per usual. He nodded acknowledging her presence, before staring out of the window as he listened to her words. The last question brought his attention back to inside the carriage. Would they indeed go out with a bang? He certainly hoped so. There was no way that they wouldn’t go out with a bang. It was a physical impossibility. They had planned to go out with a bang, but surely they could think of something better? Something which would make them legends, powerful individuals, power by the imaginable. Yes, most probably.

Quin smirked at Diana's reply to his comment about Shayne. Perhaps 'devil' had been too pleasing of a name to call the boy now sitting a two seats away from him. Noting the space, Quin reflected how very like Shayne that was.
In his eyes, Shayne was constantly under the impression that he was far superior than everyone else-- and tended to show it. That was the difference between he and Quin. Quin was content lurking in the shadows, building up his power and reputation slowly and quietly, without causing much distress. Shayne, on the other hand, was much more obvious about his feelings of superiority. And that easily made enemies.
Soon Aria had entered, and the attention of the compartment had been drawn to her for the moment. Half-listening to Aria's excuses on her unavailability over the summer, Quin had glanced out the window, noting the countryside had begun to change, turning more mountainous as they left London.
Her comment about going out with a bang though intrigued him. Similarly to Shayne, though he couldn't know it, Quin was thinking the same thing. To go out with a bang was not what Quin was looking for-- rather to become simply legendary, to become an epic part of the history of Hogwarts-- that's what Quin desired.
But, as usual, Quin hid his ambitions for the time being. "I suppose we shall." he said unenthusiastically, not even bothering to turn from the window he was sitting next to. The compartment was reflected in the window however-- all their faces were visible to him, at the very least.

Diana looked up as the last member of their group entered. "Aria, hey!" she said with a smile. She felt like she was smiling a lot today; she wasn't sure if she was just in a good, confident mood as she could be sometimes, or if it was just the simple good feeling of being reunited with her closest friends. She decided that it probably was a little bit of both.
Glancing over at Quin, she noticed that he was still looking out the window. He'd barely acknowledged her entrance into the compartment. This wasn't unlike him, nor was it unlike Shayne to act the same way...Diana assumed it was just a guy thing. She'd always noticed that men like to pretend they didn't care about things, for whatever reason. She didn't exactly agree with this, however...although Diana wasn't generally an outwardly mean person, people could still tell if she was feeling strongly about something. She was an open person, though her friends could read her better than most.
Quin was very slightly annoying her at the moment; Diana was in one of her good moods, mostly because she was with her friends again, and Quin didn't seem to be happy to see any of them. It only pissed her off because she obviously didn't have the same feelings about this situation as he did. Quin hadn't seen his friends over the same amount of time Diana had been away from them, and it made her question his behavior. Not that Quin was the most open, friendly person she'd ever met, but still. She shot him the tiniest look of annoyance, not able to help herself, and then got over it. She turned more towards Aria and Shayne, since they were obviously more open to conversation. Diana was normally forward like this; if Quin didn't want to join the conversation, he didn't have to. That was his problem, not Diana's, so she wasn't going to deal with it.
Diana smirked at Aria's question. "We definitely are; I can't wait. This is going to be the best year at Hogwarts by far...we're going to be remembered," she said. She had always wanted to end like this; not only to be remembered in general, but more what they would be remembered FOR. They weren't going to be just the usual Slytherin kids of the Death Eaters. They were making their own legacy, and would be remembered not only for their heritage, but for their own choices and actions.

Aria smiled at Diana. "Hey, Dai, how are you?" She questioned. She was glad to see that Diana hadn't changed and wasn't as grouchy as Shayne and Quin were at the moment. Which made her wonder just what had gotten their robes in such a knot. Usually they weren't this annoying silent.
Aria rolled her eyes when the boys didn't respond much to at all with her last question, which was directed at all of them. This is another reason why, she was somewhat put off by the two. She wanted to light their robes on fire, see if that got their attention, and more then likely, she'd do it to, if they weren't her friends that is. "Now the question is how are we gonna do all of this, make ourselves legends?" She questioned, not knowing what they were going to try and do to get their names remembered in not only fear but glorious respect as well. She wanted them to remembered and feared and respected, just like the Dark Lord himself.
The young woman smiled slyly to herself and got up from her seat and sat down next to Diana. Aria moved the other girl's hair back from her ear, and leaned in close. "What's the deal with them? They're so quiet. Did you make them mad? Did they get into a fight or something?" She whispered into the other girl's ear, wanting to know what was up with boys in their little group.
(Sorry I'm still not use to her.)

Some would see Shayne as unusually quiet that morning and you would be right. There was nothing wrong, he was just contemplating about various things and musing over the words shared by the girls. Maybe the girls were just unusually loud this morning, which could also be used as an explanation. But the fact of the matter was, things weren’t right in the compartment they had claimed. It didn’t seem right to discuss his findings in a place such as this. It was easy to eavesdrop upon any compartment and Shayne didn’t want any unwelcome ears overhearing his news. The carriages would be better. Only the threstrals would hear them and they wouldn’t tell anyone. He had missed their company over the summer, Diana’s and Aria’s that is. He didn’t want to admit it. That would show weakness, admitting you missed someone over the short time that was the summer holiday. Six weeks wasn’t exactly a life time. But the company of Damian and Rodolphus wasn’t exactly brilliant. Yes the brothers were close, but it had reached the point where they barely spoke to each other even if they were all in the house. They all did their separate things. Rodolphus played guitar, Damian practised Quidditch and Shayne planned the downfall of the wizarding world.
He tuned in to Aria’s last question, unable to resist adding his own input. “Nothing’s wrong at all. I’m just, thinking about certain things...” he said vaguely. “I have a few ideas, but I don’t think this is the best place to discuss them...unless you want some little git to hear the plan...” He shifted in his seat slightly, turning to face the girls. “So what did the Slytherin princesses get up to over summer?”

Quin, glancing back at the group, caught the look that Diana had thrown him. Raising a brow, and sighing inwardly, he turned and made an effort to be more attentive. He still planned on being quiet-- he had always been more of a listener than a speaker when given the choice-- but for her, he would make the effort. It was better not to have her angry at him so early on in the year. And she was already in a good mood, so it seemed.
As Aria slid over to Diana and whispered to her, it was obvious what she was asking. Aria had never been a quiet girl compared to others, so her whispering wasn't exactly inaudible. "Some people are quite capable of enjoying others' company without speaking." he added quietly, closing his eyes for a moment and rubbing his temple.
He kept them closed as Shayne spoke, as not to show his obvious surprise at his words. Something he didn't want to discuss here... Quin's mind was reeling-- a host of ideas on what it could possibly be that had Shayne distracted so.

Diana giggled softly at Aria's forwardness; it couldn't have been more obvious that her attempts at being quiet and whispering had been heard by the entire compartment. "I have no idea, I think they're just being antisocial today," Diana whispered back, but so the boys could hear her. It would be almost impossible to say anything in these small compartments without the others hearing, especially since everyone was so quiet today. It was quiet, but not exactly awkward.
Turning to Shayne, Diana listening carefully to his words about the 'ideas' he had. Now she couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts, or even the carriages, so she could hear what was on Shayne's mind. He didn't usually open up so much about his ideas and what he was thinking; and when he did, the ideas were always clever and well-thought out.
Diana noticed that Quin had turned more towards them, an attempt to be more involved in the conversation. She wasn't sure if he'd caught the look she gave him earlier, but now she suspected that he did. He seemed slightly annoyed now, but Diana didn't want to push it. Obviously something was on his mind.
She smirked at Shayne's next words; she and Aria were indeed the Slytherin Princesses. Diana was a bit of a princess herself when she wanted to be, and given her views on blood purity, it was actually the perfect title for her. "Nothing too interesting. I hung out with my parents for most of the time; they insisted, seeing as I'm not really sure where I'll end up next summer," she said. "Where any of us will end up next summer..." she said at the end, much quieter this time.

Aria shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe." She answered. She rolled her eyes at her own foolishness for not thinking her question through before speaking, and then having her idea thrown back in her face by none-other then Shayne. "Well then were should we talk about it, once we get to Hogwarts?" She questioned directing her question toward all three of her friends.
Aria grinned slightly at the nickname she and Diana had been called by Shayne. They were indeed princess in their own right, or at least that's what Aria liked to believe. "Wouldn't that make you two the princes? Or should I say Kings?" She questioned somewhat in a better mood now that the two males had started coming into the conversation. She looked back at Diana and smirked at her. "Same here. My mother wanted to spend time with me." She responded shrugging her shoulders. Her gray eyes had this far-away look to them, as she took to staring out the window. If one had the guts to say this outright, one would think she looked vulnerable with that far-away look in her eyes. "Who knows." she answered back in a stranger softer tone of voice. Aria really didn't want to think about the what-ifs, nor did she wish to think about 'next summer'.
