He watched the girls closely, listening carefully to what they both had to say whilst observing the minute details that many others would miss. He was a firm believer in the idea that a person's eyes could give away a lot more than emotions. He had a tendancy to look into a person's eyes, as if he was inspecting them, before replying to the question that had been posed to him, this of course only happened in the realm of serious questions, not the frivilous ones thrown about in day to day conversation. He laughed as Diana wondered where they would end up next summer. "If all goes to plan, we could be well on the way to building up enough force to take over the ministry and thus control the entire wizarding community. If not, it will either be some mundane dead end job or Azkaban, because I don't think the ministry will take kindly to what I've got in store..." He spoke quietly, yet it would be clear to those gathered that he was running through all the possibilities in his mind, calculating every possible outcome.
"The Chamber of Secrets of course," he said matterofactly, as if it had been the most obvious answer to the question. It didn't need any explanation, it was simply the best place to discuss whatever they had instore for Hogwarts and the wider world. No nosy Gryffindors would dare roam the tunnels where a basilisk once lurked. But maybe the old basilisk skin wouldn't be the source of terror, but rather the plans unfolding inside? "Ha I guess it would," he said quickly, trying to decide how much of his plan he should actually share with his close friends. They would want to know all of it, without a shadow of a doubt. But would it be wise? What if some little worm overheard a careless comment from one of the followers? Then there would be trouble. I'll tell them as much as I deem fit when the time arises.

Quin was probably the only one who smiled at the idea of where they would be when the next summer rolled around. He, unlike his so-called Death Eater companions, had plans not to head off to Azkaban in the next few years. If he was to gain power, he would do it from within, slowly gaining allies and accumulating power. But Shayne, cocky as ever, had other plans. He would have rolled his eyes in any other company, but simply turned away to glance at Diana. He hoped she at least had some sense not to follow so blindly this boy who-- Quin believed-- lacked a direction.
He smirked openly at Aria's comment about their own royalty titles. A king... Well it was something he had always considered. But for now, he played the part of the knight. Royalty tended to sit on their lazy arses and have things done for them. Actions were key to making a name for himself, after all.
Quin nearly laughed at Shayne's matter of fact statement. "The Chamber of Secrets, Lestrange? I know you Slytherins do love your privacy and all, but if I'm correct, it requires a parseltongue to open the Chamber. Have you been taking lessons over the summer?" He smirked slightly, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair.
"Why not the prefect bathroom? Private enough, no one would be about, and you could kick any ickle prefects out of there because of that shiny badge on your chest, Lestrange."

"I think they'd both be princes...Hogwarts couldn't handle those two as kings," Diana said with a smile. It was true, not to mention the fact that neither of them would really get a chance to be king anyway, because they would kill each other fighting over it. Diana wondered what would happen if they did ever have to fight over something, whether it be in an argument or a duel, in terms of herself. Would she choose a side? Her obvious response would be not to, but there was always the pressure that she had to. It was no secret that there had always been tension between Quin and Shayne, and Diana would hate for them to completely separate as friends, only because she didn't want to lose either of them.
She caught Quin's quick glance at her and glanced back, raising an eyebrow slightly. She felt like that wasn't the first time today that they had been giving each other looks, and got the feeling that they should talk privately later. They were both bothered, and possibly for the same reason.
"Oh great, nothing to worry about, then," Diana said sarcastically. "Control of the wizarding world, and if we don't get our first pick, at least there's incredibly boring jobs available or a lifetime in Azkaban," she added, flashing a smile at Shayne. He made it sound like any of the options were possible, but they weren't for Diana. She would never settle for anything less than exactly what she wanted.
"Maybe the Prefect's Bathroom is a better idea, Shayne...it's not as suspicious, and Quin's right; none of us can speak Parseltongue, so I don't even know how we would get in there in the first place," she said reasonably.

Aria shook her head and ran a hand through her long dark brown hair. She had somewhat stopped paying attention to what her friends were talking about, as she had gotten lost in her thoughts, as she vaguely heard Shayne speak of the possible outcomes of what could happen if they were to complete or fail in what they were doing. Aria had gone completely quiet, imagining the outcomes that had been spoken of, and even a few that hadn't spoken of. As they could very well be killed what they had done. It was a possibility that the punishment could very well be death.
The 17 year old Slytherin hadn't even noticed she had gotten lost in her own morbid thoughts, until the train suddenly jerked to a stop, sending the girl startling out of her retrieve. "Finally." She thought annoyed at the train ride taking as long as it did. She had managed to hear the last of the conversation, a debate it seemed about where they would be speaking of this matter. "I don't really care where we speak of this matter, but will you three just agree on some place already?" She questioned, as she stood up, getting ready to exit the compartment and leave the compartment.
